Lol, at least the King Arthur battle and the battle in the movie centurion are completely postulated with no surviving record so they can kind of make it do what they want.
The battle scene in The King was supposed to be Agincourt And it's one of the most well documented battles from the hundred years War. It's depiction is about on the same historical accuracy level as the Battle of Sterling in braveheart.
The king butchered the battle horribly in addition to being just a terrible movie all around. At least braveheart was a somewhat enjoyable movie experience.
Battle of the blackwater wasn't that good and it's not even based on anything from actual ancient or medieval times. At best it's maybe kind of borrowed from one of the sieges of Constantinople where the byzantines deployed Greek fire. And it's not even that good of a version of it. At least the other things on the list are from actual ancient and medieval times not crappy fiction that isn't as good as Tolkien

Its good that Alexander didn't decide to attack main land of India Mayura Dynasty with more than half a million soldiers with 40k Elephant, chariot and a lot. I think his entire army would be buried in 10 minutes. He decided to go back when he got the first blow from a brave king PURU with his braveheart small army of 20k soldiers

I personally think that was the worst version of Joan of Arc in the entire history of film making. From what it looked like, the fim was written by a person from England who held a grudge against France, and wabted to demonize one of the most famous women who fought for freedom

I can see by the comments that many folks are mocking here and there about the seriousness or the authenticity of the charges and the deaths as a consequence, as they had the opportunity of travelling on a time machine to watch all those battles live and on site.

they are not soldiers, they are just scouts who are good at marching and like playing with swords. The front row definitely had a big chance of dying. they wanted to win the war but didn't want to reduce the death rate during war.

Never been in one myself, but I feel like that movie The King was the most believable rendition of what it was really like. Total unmitigated, quick, muddy, awful, hellish, brutal, crushing, claustrophobic violence.

Those brave men in the first cavalry charge in Mongol are called Mangudai, which translates as Men who will die, because they already knew they won't survive the battle.

The King (2019) is underrated when it comes to battle scenes. Felt so brutal. They were battling the elements, their armor and their opponents.

With how easy the cavalry charge was defeated in outlaw king it almost seems impossible cavalry even had a role in medieval warfare at all.

These type of battles are fun to watch, but being in such battles in real life would be be a traumatizing and horrific thing.

Always enjoy war movies where dudes in chainmail, plate armor, or lorica segmentata get _slashed_ by swords and die. So realistic.

From a historical standpoint the King Arthur film was a nightmare fueled hellscape, but as a kid it was my favourite movie.

Braveheart is legendary for people over 30. It's not because the effects are great. Because the story is great
