Top 20 Feel Good Movies of the Century (So Far)

Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
we re looking at the most inspiring, positive, and/or cheerful live-action films of the 21st century. Possible spoilers ahead! Our countdown includes movies Mamma Mia! , Remember the Titans, Legally Blonde and more! Did we forget a movie that made you smile A huge oversight I can think of here, is that there's no The Martian. A feel-good tone distinctly permeates throughout it as everyone rallies around and is invested in rescuing one man, and this combined with its strong quality, should land it in the top 5 I think.
Another great pick, though not faring as high on the list, would be Chef - A restaurant man, an assistant, and his son inspiringly start a thriving food truck business and create fond memories because of it.

I would have to disagree with the movies on this list due to the fact that I didn't care to watch them due to no interest in them what so ever: Barbie; Love Simon; Akeelah, & the Bee; Mamma Mia! Franchise; My Big Fat Greek Wedding Franchise; Remember the Titans; Miracle; Billy Elliot; The Muppets; Crazy Rich Asians; Pride, & Prejudice; Little Miss Sunshine; The Pursuit of Happyness; Paddington Bear Franchise; Amelie; Elf (I hate Will Ferrel)

This list is actually pretty good. But I would have found a spot for Wonder, there. I think it is the kind of movie that makes you really happy and uplifted after watching it. Even though, throughout the movie you may think you will be shedding tear of sadness at the end of the movie, you shed tears, but of joy.

How is SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION NOT on the list when it should be #1? It reminds of of what friendship is and what it means to be human! HOT TAKE: Barbie was a horrid pink mess! The plot, humor, etc was only good for the length of the trailer, and quickly became repetitive e and boring.

So many great movies. Great messages. Harry Potter and Philosopher's stone, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Legaly Blonde, Mamma Mia, Princess Diaries, Slumdog Millionaire, Pursuit of Happyness, Remember the Titans. Didn't watch many of them, reacting to videos and messages. Great video

I know that they tend to have dark undertones and scenes, but you need to do this for Japanese animated features. I can list at least 10 movies, where a main character remains positive/determined throughout and it always has a happy ending.

I was thrilled to see the delightful Amelie on this list. I would have enjoyed Silver Linings Playbook on the list. Even though it had some sad elements in it, i would have liked to see The Shawshank redemption here.

So many of these movies have been turned into musicals. Legally Blonde, Billy Elliott, Little Miss Sunshine and School of Rock, to name but a few. Catchy songs give you something to sing along with on the way home.

TPOH has one of my favorite movie scenes in the 21st century: it s when Smith and some businessman are in a cab, and the businessman is just blown away at how Smith is trying to solve the Rubik s cube.

Thank you for the update, WatchMojo! My pick for the feel good movie of the century would be Charlotte's Web (1973. I watched that movie as a kid, and that movie was awesome back in the early 80s.

It s very recent. The holdovers 20 years from now is going to be an all time holiday classic and it is absolutely one of the best feel good movies of the past 20 years.

School of Rock is a good movie, but there is a huge amount of suspension of disbelief in the ending. If this happened in real life, Dewey would go to jail 100%

The worst thing about feel good movies is that once they're over, you go back to your boring life
And that makes you realize how much life sucks

Top 10 Movie Musicals that Deserves a Medal! An actual Medal
Such as Dreamgirls, High School Musical, Grease, Wet Side Story, etc.

Legally Blonde has always been my comfort movie. It shows that you can pick looks and books, without having to choose between them.
