I loved the x files. except 1 episodes. the episode with the kid that had the twin that died at birth gave me nightmares
. and the seasons after Mulder and Scully left. kinda lost interest after that.
Love the twilight zone and the outer limits.
Cheers and Frazier are really nostalgic to the me and my parents.
The Wire, The Shield, Weeds and Justified are shows that are really special to us. along with the law and order shows, Homicide: Life on the Streets and LA Law.
My dad and I are huge Doctor Who fans.
My dad loves The Simpsons. he is trying to get me to get into it too.
Love MASH
We loved Breaking Bad( I need to watch it from the beginning)

Honorable mention is Full House I mean they handle more issues than the other shows that on the same time whether they were big or small, like a couple of examples doing mother or father like activities or projects, even though one of the parents is no longer in their lives, from how to deal with eating disorders to it’s ok to let go of past even though you may have feelings and have wonderful memories with the person you were with

This list SUCKS! Friends Give me a damn break! Let's try the show Friends was based on which is called Living Single. What about shows that CHANGED the culture Where is Star Trek, The Cosby Show (and no, I don't care how people personally feel about Bill Cosby, The Golden Girls, A Different World, and Law and Order Can you get someone older than 30-something to do these lists please.

Please correct the title to American history! There's a whole world outside of America and not all of these shows had as big of an impact on the rest of the world! And there are plenty of shows from other countries especially the UK, Canada and Australia that have had a massive impact globally that are bigger than some of the shows on this list throughout the rest of the world!

I think I'd add Buffy the Vampire Slayer to the list. It managed to combine sci-fi, fantasy, horror, comedy, and teen drama into one VERY satisfying package. It also had many really ambitious episodes, including a musical one that I ACTUALLY liked, (not normally my thing) and an episode with almost no dialogue. Plus it inspired several shows like it in the early 2000's.

Star Trek should definitely be on the list for revoltionizing the Sci-fi genre.
DALLAS belongs on this list as one of the first prime time soap operas. There is no Tony Soprano without JR Ewing. Also, it popularized the use of the cliffhanger.
MASH should be number 1 for the sole reason that it still has the most watched viewers for any tv show with the finale.

I just started watching the video. So, before I even see it on the list, I'd like to point out that when TV was BRAND NEW, it wouldn't have been that hard to be a so-called "pioneer. " Just stand in front of a camera and do LITERALLY ANYTHING! I LOATHE Lucy. Well, I'm very happy AND surprised actually to see that at least it WASN'T number one!

So many iconic great show! Perfect! Lost started great but it became slow later. Mom and dad said it. South Park can be extremely rude and disgusting but great, I love Cheers, Friends, totally iconic, Frasier, completely iconic too, Game of Thrones, The Simpsons, Loonely Tunes. The Sompranos is fantastic too. So many great shows! Excellent video

Sorry, but #1 is without a doubt, Emergency! So many cities around the country decided to start EMS programs and employ paramedics because of that show. And literally COUNTLESS people went into the fire service and EMS because of Johnny and Roy. The number of lives saved because of this show's influence can never be fully measured.

Not a bad list, but how is Star Trek not on this It spun off 10 more tv shows and over a dozen movies. Not to mention the impact it had on pop culture, real-world science, science fiction genre, and our actual lexicon. That's a really bad miss. Even George Lucas said that there likely wouldn't be Star Wars without Star Trek.

I just can’t even believe how disgusted I am at this list you left so many so many shows out. I know it can’t be a list of 100 but oh my God this is gross just gross. I’m afraid I’m gonna be fuming for the next several days this this was gross. I don’t even know if I’ll ever watch another one of your videos again.

Will&Grace, Ellen, and Queer As Folk(the American version) should have been on this list. They all paved the way for LGBTQ characters and stories to become mainstream. While it didn't happen till the end of the show, Ellen the TV character and person, was one of the first to come out on national television.

I would have liked to see Buffy the Vampire Slayer get some love. It tackles so many real word issues and is Also hugely important to LGBTQ people with its allegories for coming out and the relationship between Willow and Tara. A lot of good shows in this list but yeah I think Buffy needs a shout out

Who made this list The Office should've been on this list. The Office could've easily replaced a few shows on this list. Not even an honorable mentions spotlight at the end this time, and other shows besides The Office that should've made the list. First time giving a thumbs down on a WatchMojo video.

Star Trek' made TV history when it aired an episode where Captain Kirk and Lieutenant Uhura kissed on screen. The moment is widely regarded as one of American TV's first interracial kisses.
Star Trek did a lot and I’m shocked it’s not on the list.

NoTwin Peaks, none of over half the list would exist without it/all their creators will even tell ya so. Also, Dick the Dick Van Dyke show was a major inspiration for Jerry Seinfeld in terms to approaching his character. Still a solid list overall

Golden Girls
MacGyver
Supernatural
Star Trek franchise
Law and Order
Roseanne
Buffy
Carol Burnett Show
Cosby Show
Seinfeld barely deserves an honorable mention. Definitely not the top 5
Sopranos as #1, omg, bad choice

Wasn't Friends just a ripoff of Living Single Living Single started a year earlier and was far superior.
Also I think The Daily Show deserves to be on this list. One of the first satirical news shows, it inspired many to care about politics.

Its always sunny deserves to be here, because it literally pushes new limits and adresses real world problems, and maybe Community, because its simply unique and specially in the way shows can go today, you never know what to expect.
