I know q lot of people see Saw as nothing more than Torture porn but I've always loved the philosophy & interesting morals of John, plus the trap idea's he (the filmmakers) come up with are AWESOME!

Joyce is truly the only Saw victim that didn’t deserve her fate and genuinely makes me angry. Like, yes, I get it, sinner by association, but she genuinely didn’t know. This was where the series fell off, completely upended Jigsaw’s reasoning, and the point of the traps.
It would have been so much more effective to put him in the Brazen Pig, and let Joyce watch from a safe distance with the freedom to decide his fate for lying to her.
He could be forced to tell the truth with a limited number of questions, and Joyce being responsible for the mechanic that operates the chain pulling him down everytime he lies.
The twist is: she can either choose to be as complacent and in the know as his previous friends were and believe him and free him, or she can take everything he’s saying as a lie, even if it IS the actual truth.
How much more effective would it have been for him to keep lying to her, even in this moment, just to save face in his desperation only to see the one, pure and innocent thing in his life twist into something worse as a result of his lying and his total disregard for telling the truth.
He answers every question untruthfully and she knows this, so the devastation is worse.
The final question from her can be, Did you ever really love me and you have an intense moment between them where he says sincerely (or atleast convincingly enough) I’ve always loved you.
There’s an emotional moment where you think she’s not going to do it, and he sighs a breath of relief, only to have the Brazen Pig trap him at the last second.
She watches him fry knowing good and well if he truly loved her, he would have never put her in such an awful position to ever doubt his words.
And then she takes the money he stole from everyone and returns it, she goes on her own, genuinely truthful tour, and tells her own survival and escape. Not just from Jigsaw.
But a worser monster a little closer to home.

The braising bull trap should have been Bobby's trap not his wife his wife should have done the test going through everyone of his conspirators and in learning the truth the other way and she was tested to see if she can handle everyone's lies it shouldn't have been Bobby day and it should have been his wife and the test and Bobby Day and should have been in the brazen Bull trap

The Shotgun Keys Trap is such a cool, cerebral trap. Even though Jigsaw wasn’t the best Saw movie, that sequence is phenomenal every time and would honestly function incredibly as a Saw short film with a few tweaks.
Also a bit surprised to see The Rack and the Needle Pit so low, though.

If I make the reverse bear trap, failing will trigger a red light to come on instead of it actually springing open. I'd rather just see is someone would actually succeed than harm them in any way.
