Iron Man was troubled from the beginning, in large part because X-Men: Last Stand, Spider-Man 3 and Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer led many to declare superhero fatigue had landed. The film beat expectations and launched the most successful feature film franchise before or since. The MCU became a money-maker, and Downey Jr. earned a lot of credit for its success because of the strength of his performance.
-With another Spider-manless Spider-man film, Sony, by taking every wrong lesson it can from MCU and Spiderverse films, will show everyone how to make Razzillion dollars.
A new Marvel Razzie arrives.
Its Razzieing time
-Nobody is going to root for a cast of characters who stand for discrimination, eugenics, and racism. with 5 out of 8 episodes having zero plot and zero-character development -Inhumans review.
How did MCU went from Homecoming and GOTG2 to Inhumans in 2017

Sorry but the HP movies were pretty much a guaranteed success, no matter the quality. The books were a cultural phenomenon when the first film came out and in opposition to something like say, LOTR, where all 3 films were filmed at the same time by an unproven director known for ultra-gory horror-comedies and a dark pshycological thriller, and based on what was at the time a certainly popular and beloved but not as mainstream as it is now 50-year old book series. Maybe I just disagree because I think the HP movies are shit but whatever.

You forget Toy Story. Pixar was running on fumes but still managed to make one of the greatest story ever told with path breaking animation which revolutionized Animation Industry and animation stories in general.
Due to some twisted fate, it gave Steve Jobs enough confidence to take on Apple on his second stint and build one of the most powerful tech empire from the ashes.

I love PULP FICTION and the HARRY POTTER franchise. I just wish the HP movies were a little longer so that more important moments from the books were added in and I wish they wouldn’t reboot it as a TV series. I didn’t like the MCU, but since Spider-Man became a part of it, I really hate the MCU.

From what I remember, when Daniel Craig was announced as the new 007, there were some people who didn't want to give him a chance. This could have been because Pierce Brosnan had done pretty well right before him in that role, but I'm glad things eventually worked out.

To think _Star Wars_ would make or break George Lucas’s career! There’s a reason why _A New Hope_ is my favorite OT movie. Say what you will about the current MCU, but I believe the classic MCU (2008-2019) is THE largest successful gamble to date.
reply

Surprised you didn't put LOTR on there considering they filmed all 3 at the same time. Unlike Potter, where the plug could be pulled if the 1st one bombed, they had to be fully committed and if Fellowship bombs, the studio goes bankrupt
reply

LOTR trilogy honorable mention. All three movies shot back to back to back. The first movie could’ve easily been terrible and could’ve sank the franchise as well as the studio.
reply

Daniel Craig actually did a great job of playing 007
RDJ portraying Iron Man is still the best thing the MCU has happened
John Travolta in Pulp Fiction best thing ever

I can't with heath ledger. If the original Batman television series had been written more serious and sinister, Cesar Romero would have STILL blown ledger away.

Forgot the gamble to film 3 Lord of the ring movies before even releasing the first.
Shooting a 280 million dollar project on a concept alone.
