The U. S. government promised to clean up the uranium and contamination on Navajo land after world war 2. They initiated a bill to start clean up on January 8, 2025. They also started moving uranium in trucks only covered by a tarp in the summer of 2024, in clear violation of a treaty.
The U. S. government did forced sterilization on indigenous women without their knowledge until 1978. They did the same to the women in Puerto Rico until the 70’s. The US government has decided that due to blood quantum limits they placed the Taino people of Puerto Rico no longer exist and are trying to claim sacred lands from Taino descendants today as well as trying to steal indigenous land on mainland United States.
In Mexico in the lands of the state of Zacatecas the tribes of the Caxcan and Zacatecos defended their homeland in a 40 year war. The Spanish wanted the silver on the land. Those tribes, among many others were annihilated to where now any who carry their blood cannot learn of their history.

Some additional details on those events
Regarding the holodomor it honestly might as well be a genocide
The Japanese atrocities werent as organized or industrial as the Nazis but they were considerably more savage. Like in the Philippines, literally throwing civilian babies in the air and catching them with their bayonets and their crimes in unit 731. The former was unfortunately captured on film a good bit and can be easily found
For the congo free state if quotas weren't met, they would chop off a hand of the workers who didn't. When Leopold heard of this he was outraged. Because they were mutilating hands which he found important and they should instead mutilate anything that doesn't affect work like noses. Also the skull of victims were used to make fences of the Belgian people who made houses there.

White Americans continue to treat Native Americans like . Always have always will. As a child, as an Alaskan Native, wondered why black people always said Never trust white people on the news and TV shows and movies. Growing up, I learned how bad white people have ALWAYS TREATED NATIVES. Not from schools BUT from Kevin Costner. After Dances With Wolves, Kevin Costner made a weeklong documentary series on CBS called 500 Nations. I learned more from that then EVERYTHING I WAS TAUGHT IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Even now the white government claims they found America. In my opinion, Kevin Costner was punished by the whitey rulers by calling his movie Waterworld a box office bomb before it was even in the theaters. They still call it a bomb even though it at least paid for itself. Its actually an OK movie.

A long time ago I saw an episode of Adam Ruins Everything where he pointed out that Japan was ready to surrender and the U. S. government knew. They spent so much time and money developing the nukes that they didn’t want it to all go to waste. So they dropped them on civilians of a surrendering country. Harry Truman also said the bombs were revenge for Pearl Harbor.

A couple of crimes in the recent history of south-east Asia deserve some attention:
1. The autogenocide by the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia against the Cambodian people.
2. The Indonesian invasion and occupation of East Timor which is believed to have led to the deaths of up to one-third of the population in the occupied territory.

Another horrifying moment in history is the building of The Great Wall of China. For many years, countless people were forced into hands-on labor and work in grueling conditions. As a result, numerous people died just to protect their own country. Sadly, however, this has been overlooked in schools, as well as tourism.

Persecuting the Jews because people needed a scapegoat for the Black Death is just as dark as the outbreak of the illness itself, if not more so. They aren’t perfect, but blaming them for the Middle Ages’ largest, most catastrophic illness crosses too many lines.

Disgusting. Particularly disappointed in Japan ( absolutely LOVE Japan now) and it's not just what they did, it's what they're still doing. They might think they're protecting people by not talking about these things but they're really just surpressing information.

I don't think enough people in North America know about Unit 731, the Japanese internment camp in Manchuria where the Imperial Army and their science corps conducted atrocious biological and chemical experiments on Chinese prisoners. It was beyond horrific.

One tragedy that I feel is worse than we remember and should be talked about more is the damage caused by TEL, which wasa fuel addative invented by Thomas Midgely Jr. to prevent knocking in car engines, but blanketed the earth in a layer of harmful lead.

Also with Paragraph 175, after the camps were liberated, gay men were forced to stay in the camps and serve out the rest of their sentence. There were men in the campus until the early 50’s.

It's hard to think of the Japanese as having committed such atrocities during WW2, considering that today the Japanese are well known for their politeness, honesty, and humility.
