Pro hairdresser rates your haircare routines MissLilRedRooster: I have 3a/3b hair, and there's no way I would ever diffuse my hair with heat. I don't even finish my shower with heat, I blast my hair with cold water to try and seal the cuticles as much as possible after I hydrate them. The frizz is RIDICULOUS when I apply any heat to my hair, so I just spend 20 years diffusing on cool and low speed.
Though I always plop with a gel to allow the gel to set, instead of applying a ton of products all in one go before I diffuse like she did. Gels for me work so much better with more time to set, I always envy people who can get gel to work just by slapping it in their hair and moving on.

Brad Mondo, I was wondering what I should do. so the top layer of my hair is straight (like 2A) and the bottom layer is wavy (like 2B) so I was wondering what I should do. either I could have a hair routine for straight hair and wreck my wave pattern even more or have a routine for wavy hair and I don't know what would happen if the top layer would get wavy, stay the same or what. I don't want to wreck my wave pattern more but the top layer isn't wavy. I know you probably won't see this but I hope you do.

Hi! can anyone rate my hair routine and correct the wrong do's i did?
1. So first I straighten my hair before getting into the shower
2. I wash my hair and put on aloe vera shampoo and I massage my scalp and roots gently.
3. Next, I rinse off the water (ofc)
4. after im done, I brush my hair with a wide tooth comb until its dry
5. After it's dry i put on coconut oil on the ends of my hair
What do you guys think? let me know what I'm doing wrong. i appreciate ya'll.

My hair care routine is
Wash hair with dandruff shampoo in lukewarm water, wash out, put in some Aussie kids conditioner and leave in until Im done washing my body (about 2-3 mins, after that I wash out the conditioner and put my hair up in a towel so it doesnt drip while I dry my body, then flip my head upside down and comb with a wide tooth comb, after that I put in diva curl mousse and then some diva curl gel. Lastly I scrunch up my hair and let it air dry

My hair routine (on a non wash day):
-pull off silk cap
- use spray bottle to add moisture and detangle if necessary (usually not)
- if I need to re apply a curling cream, mousse, or oil then Ill do that
- shake my head/hair
- let air dry
I have short 3c/4a hair so very low maintenance, but still takes all day to air dry when soaking wet so I dont wet my hair everyday. I only comb or brush to detangle/distribute products while wet.

My hair routine:
I have oily hair so I leave it with it's oils but before going to the bath I give my scalp a massage so more oils can come out i leave it for a while to meditate itself which i believe it makes a difference? I'm not sure but I take a shower and leave it to dry by itself without any interfering then just brush and sometimes flat iron it. that's it. I just made it look tall

okay but i NEED to know if diffusing curly hair is necessary or if we could just air dry it. i have curly hair and i have been trying to get better about taking care of it and getting rid of frizz. i absolutely hate using any sort of blowing air on my hair; i prefer to just air dry it. if anyone could answer this question, i would be forever grateful

ok, brad, sigh. He does pretty well, not completely clueless. but he honestly doesnt fully understand curly or textured hair. brad pls dont talk about things u dont understand. i know u arent trying to spread bad info, but for people who dont understand curls, ur miseducating them. still luv u, but u might need to do some more research.

Heya! I've got a quick question for you. I don't really blow dry my hair, I usually let it dry naturally. I like to curl but I have fine hair, so I know a heat protection spray will help. When would be best to apply this to my hair? Before it dries naturally or when it is already dry right before I start curling it?

Hi Brad! Your my fav babe!
I was wondering what you thought about the comanies I use for my hair. I use Mani, and Heritage. They are both found at Walmart / CVS. my hair has been dyed, but I'm trying to keep it preserved so I can grow it long and healthy. Please let me know what you think! Thank you! xoxo

I realize Im late but if you do se this DO NOT USE CANTU CURL CREAM. ONE OF ITS MAIN INGREDIENTS IS ALCOHOL THAT WILL DRY OUT YOUR HAIR. I USED IT AND MY HAIR WAS SO DRY AND IT STARTED TO BREAK. if it works for you by all means use it but it has Alcohol in it and that will dry out your hair

so when a was a little girl my hair was very curly and my mom took me to a salon and dropped me off to get my hair TRIMMED. the hairdresser straightened it and cut 12 inches OFF. I looked a boy from the 1700s. Now the underside of my hair is curly but the rest is straight. yAy.

I've heared like a thousand times, mostly from my mum, that bowdrying is very bad for your hair, that it burns it and you should never use it unless you're really in a rush. And now he's telling people to blowdry. Who do I trust?
