Will t18 fix your orange bleached hair? The: Im a cosmetologist and Ive never used T18 before in school however I have used wella toners on mannequins and it does give you that lift you want when your hair is a pale yellow. I currently lightened my dark brown/black natural hair to a pale yellow/white rn and I used T14 which is a silver as well it does have a strong smell and my scalp was burning a bit.
I dont have a sensitive scalp either. I left it on or 30 mins when it turned purple. I have 3b/3c curly hair and like I said Ive never used any chemical service on my hair and I actually like the lift that I got.
I also used the ION color brilliance white lightener. Overall it can work if you use it right but I dont recommend it for new colorists or people who have never used it before. I knew what I wanted in Sallys however I do take recommendations since Im unlicensed and cant go to cosmoprof. I will go back and retake my state board exam cuz certain products I want I just cant buy.

As I have the wella t18 on my hair, freaking out. Thank goodness my hair was lightened already to a pale yellow BEFORE I put it on and the T18 is doing its job. Thanks Brad.
I was burned really badly in a grease fire on Christmas Eve and already have some prettier horrific scarring and get noticed and am having a hard enough time, I used a different bleaching system and it lifted me to a pale yellow instead of a warmer blonde. I didnt need the bright yellow to be noticed anymore.

I've bleached my medium brown hair on my own 4 or so times (highlights. The second time I used t18 and it was the most beautiful, flattering color blonde and have never had it done as well professionally so I'm not understanding. it made any orange I had a beautiful goldish blonde. Think Sarah Michelle Gellar in season two Buffy. It was bright, shiny and so flattering. Maybe luck but again I'm confused by it being called an absolute no go.

I need your advice I went to my hair salon and I adore my stylist and I wanted to go lighter and when I left my hair was very ashey and darker and some strands were greyish/greenish. Any recommendations or will it Truley just wash out? I am not happy with my results but I don't have the money to correct it right now. Thank you for your videos and help

Hallelujah! FINALLY good advice for the worlds hair DIY-ers out there. It always makes me so sad to see poor unfortunate souls toss T-18 or any other level 10 intended toner on orange or golden hair hoping for platinum white. Youve got to tone the level you achieve for good results my friends, and T18 is for PALE YELLOW ONLY.

This was a great video. Pale yellow is a must. Got it. T18 does work for me. I am guilty of removing it too soon like you said. I will try to force myself to leave on 20 minutes. I don't like the purple tint on ends I get sometimes. but I'm going to try to leave it on longer for desired result.

Ive had ok success with t18 on highlights only when I use it with a level 10 developer. If I use it with 20vol, it lifts my roots without depositing anything (the darker non highlighted hair) BUUUTT-and this is a big but. its gone in like 2 shampoos. So not worth it at all.

Braaaaad, I used t18, my hair turned super white but my roots are still a super light yellow what should I do? Do I have to bleach my (super light! ) roots again? Can I apply the toner again without bleaching them or would that be useless? What. Should. I. Do?
reply

Thank you Brad. I'm almost 60, have white roots, so I wanted to bleach my hair and tone with t18. But I just don't have the fortitude now since you mentioned the burning. Any ideas? Should I just get a bur haircut and let my natural white grow? Help!

Unfortunately I watched this video while the T18 was already processing in my hair! Brad is absolutely right, if you have dark roots and a balayage AVOID TONING YOUR ROOTS (DARK HAIR) at all costs! My roots are now orange and hideous!
reply

I have a balayage and my highlights are starting to turn yellow so how do I tone without messing up my roots? Im using a 10 developer because last time I tried to tone my virgin hair it went a shade lighter and not very pretty

Ladies learn to color and cut your own hair it is not hard. I cut and color my own hair and I get complimented on it numerous times in a day. Never did I get so many compliments when I would go to a salon.

Omg lol I appreciate this video so much. There is nothing worse than wasting toner and developer on hair that isn't light enough. Been there done that with t14 on level 8 copper bleach out lol
reply

Brad mondo: cause I know so many of you are going to use this on your orange hair ITS NOT GOING TO WORK noticeably fed up
Me: rewinds 10 sec to see it again 5 times lol

reply

I got my hair done May 15 she left the toner in for like 5 min. my hair is NOT the color I want. Can I use this to fix it? Or should I just rebleach again then this? HELP BRAD!
