There's a basic problem, Brad. It's that there's a difference between the style being old-fashioned, and the style making your face look older. For the curly one, okay, the curls should be broken up, softer, but on the right side photo the curls start too low and pull your eye down. Her forehead is narrow and her face looks heavy at the bottom. It's a fail. For the part, a center part with an oval or heart shaped face will definitely look angelic and pure. But when you get older, it really looks bad. You will not look younger that way. That's why many people switch to side part later. It distracts from a lack of symmetrical perfection.

In reality you can have whatever hairstyle you want. This is just Brads opinion. Hes young and aging is scary to a lot of young people. This isnt meant to insult older people just not make yourself look older when you are young. I dont agree with most of this video but he just has a different opinion than me. Aging is normal and beautiful. We are just afraid of death and aging shows we are closer to it. I think thats why a lot of young people are afraid of it. I dont think he meant to be offensive and in the end do whatever you want and dont let this determine your hair worth. Be you.

The funniest thing about this video is the Hot or Not choice of setup itself is actually so reminiscent of the early 00s. Like I'm sure I remember being 12 and reading a dozen magazines that had hot or not sections in them and for some reason feeling that I absolutely must follow what they said, no matter what I actually liked.
I don't think the hairstyles really need ditching if they make people feel good but I thought that putting stuff into hot or not categorise was ditched a long time ago.
Sorry Brad, love you, I'm just not feeling this one video.

Ive recently fallen into the brad world. As a psychic healer hairstylist the energy here is what clients complain about in the chair. I literally would take them out of the mirror and acknowledge their inner beauty and create the look they want. When youre rocking your inner self expression energy youre gonna naturally glow look and feel younger. I say we ask him again in 10 years. Age is a thought that the beauty industry perpetuates. Like Heidi klum used to say one day youre in the next youre out. But youll always be you. Love to all who see this comment.

I have to massively disagree with the side or middle part. I think that one entirely depends on the shape of your face. My sisters and I have different shaped faces (I have a heart shaped face, one has a round face, and one has an oval face and we all have varying hair lengths) and we all look very different in terms of age depending on how we part our hair. The fact that youve mentioned using elastics during the ponytails made me cringe too - my hairdressers always insist that theyre a big no-no and that scrunchies are more gentle on the hair.

You're wrong about a lot of these boo, as a lot of people have said in this so far a lot of these would look like a 40-year-old trying to be a teenager like the high ponytail with sparkles in it. And you want to know how I knew which one you were going to pick Brad Mondo? I just had to pick the one that looked the most frizzy and wild which matches the teenager Tik Tok trend right now. And of course as we age our faces appear longer so if I did try some of these when I was older it would age me more then just doing what I'd like.

With the layered one I liked neither the supposedly hot one was just too messy for me and my eyes were immediately drawn to random short strands sticking out all over the head but the other one just looked odd. Also for me a messy fringe just isnt a good look with my face shape and typical hairstyles and even personality. I agree with most people in the comments as a lot of the hot ones were just in right now yet in a few years they too may be seen as ageing.

Love you Brad, but I HATE center parts on anyone over the age of 5. Even then (age 5 and below) they should be reserved for pigtails and pigtail braids only. Otherwise the only center part I consider acceptable is when your hair naturally falls into one (I still recommend training to part slightly off center) or when cutting hair, so you're not dedicated to parting in the same place all the time.

A lot of these styles depend on your face structure, like which bun to choose, which parting to choose. I do the slicked back high bun as my lazy day hair but I would never go outside with it because Id look like a Victorian lady or something where as I have a friend with beautiful bone structure who looks great with that style

Just an observation here. I've been watching old Dr. Phil shows. I notice many times that dysfunctional women have long, long hair more suitable to a ten-year old than a 45-year old. There comes a time when a woman's hair needs to grow up. There comes a time when being respected is more important than being hot.

I think the part is less of a trend and more of a life philosophy! LMAO - just being honest, either you part middle or you part side theres no in between. Its such a polar opinion! Kim K be rocking that middle part, but I look straight Marsha Brady with that middle part. I feel it ages me so much!

You think getting older is scary but then as you get older you gain wisdom, depth and clarity, which makes you grateful and more at peace, (for me anyway. I wouldn't go back for anything, my inner Goddess is far more valuable to me than my younger dumba$$ self, hands-down.

sidepart is the hill I've chosen to die on. lol but really I have a massive cowlick and it's just so used to being parted on the side. At the beginning of lock down I thought I'd finally power through the transition but gave up after 1 week.

Let me tell my hair to part in the middle after being side parted for 35 years because I have a cowlick. yeah right. There is no training my hair. I know, I tried, I gave up. My hair IS the boss of me. I still look young and good!
