Really mixed feelings watching this Im happy for these girls, but feeling a bit sorry for myself; Ive almost always had really long, thick hair, and I liked it that way. Had to pretty much say goodbye to ever having long hair again after I went through chemo in early 2020. I didnt lose all my hair, but I lost a ton of thickness. So much that pulling my hair back into a ponytail made the top of my head look like a bad combover;
Having shorter hair has helped somewhat, since I can have layering and stuff on top to somewhat hide the thinness.
I guess Im just a little jealous of people who got to choose to give up their long hair instead of being forced to.

Having long hair was the reason I cut my hair into a pixie the first time I did it oh so many years ago! It's so thick and I woke up one day with it covering my face and said F IT! It was such a moment for me! My gma and mom were even there and I'm pretty sure tears were shed (Not from me cause I was hyped lol) I'm currently working through the millionth time of growing it out lol (Just cut it into a bob a month ago actually lol) Their OG lengths are my goal. (I never get that far cause I always cut it lol) but this time I AM GROWING!

I kinda wish I had filmed myself cutting my own hair. I went from hair just past my shoulders to completely bald. You would have had a coronary watching. I only had hair shears not clippers and a regular razor. Took several hours and several breaks and changing blades on my razor twice to achieve, but its so much easier to maintain now. Im not going to keep shaving it but will probably maintain a buzz cut. Im actually someone who that look works for. Im getting clippers for the next cut though.

Thing is 8 years is long but when you are ready to chop your hair hair it feels so good. I never had short hair and the shortest was waistlength and I made the decision to cut it off at age 21 to shoulder length and it felt so good. I in fact did donate it as that was what I wanted to do if I were finally ready to cut it off. If I have done thos when I was younger then there was a chance of me regretting it

I know how they feel. It is freeing. Less products to waste or spend in, less maintenance. I miss like the beautiful long hair when you are younger, but as you are older things change. Always do longer incase mess up have room to even up not blunt bad edges. Her hair was so yucky so much the real long hair. She has so mich hair. She looks so mixer & different. Yeah I agree with you assessment Brad.

I got about a foot of hair cut off when I was 12 and had a bob cause I thought it looked cute on other people but I hated it on me and regretted it until it grew back out and haven't cut it since (besides trimming off dead ends. That was 10 years ago and I'm very much in love with my long hair now. When I get that good hair day and my curl pattern just listens to me chef's kiss its gorgeous

When I was a teenager I cut off 28 inches of hair total but it was so long the hair stylist wouldnt let me cut it all at once. She cut a foot off and told me to come back in three days to get the rest cut just to make sure it was what I wanted.
Edit: she only charged for one haircut she just wanted to make sure i was 100% about cutting that much off

i have straight strawberry blonde hair that was over 3ft long (which was at my thigh) and i recently cut off over 22 inches and it is at like my caller bone but i want to cut it really short as soon as i can because my hair gives me so much gender dysphoria. but i still dont know how i want to cut it short

I always saw this kind of videos were people cuts their long hair and they are like screaming and living some wild moment, so I wanted to experience that, I went from long hair to the shortest pixie cut and feel absolutely nothing: / no rush no nothing, it was pretty disappointing

I havent cut my hair in 6 years. Its been black since 2006. Im content never changing my hair. Its long, thick, and curly and I adore it being down to my waist. My old hair stylist and everyone else says theyd be so mad if it cut it. Id hate myself if I did. Lmao

Last year I cut 14 inches off my hair, I have had it long mainly all my life and it seems to grow quite quickly. It was so wierd but so cool when I cut it off, and I spend most of the day shaking my hair about, it felt like a little dog tail
