My tip is for those of you with dandruff, dry scalp, psoriasis etc. ; if you've tried dandruff shampoos and they have not worked, there is an ingredient called piroctone olamine that is not only good for clearing scalp psoriasis but also stopping hair loss AND it even has been shown in a couple studies to thicken the hair diameter. This is working for me better than anything else has. But Brad's suggestion of a salicylic acid shampoo is a great one too bc you really want to keep gently exfoliating.
ps - if you are wavy or curly, do not comb your hair after drying. You need to comb while wet and slathered in conditioner.

I live in Utah and my hair gets so greasy because it's so dry here. My scalp freaks out because it's too dry so it goes crazy with oil production. It's super annoying. I'm from California and I visited friends and family for 2 weeks a month ago and my hair was so much better when I was there. I found a shampoo that worked wonders in California, but then I used it in Utah and it didn't work the same. I struggle with cleaning my hair. Often after shampooing and when my hair dries it's still greasy in random sections. I've been thinking about trying a hard water shampoo if I can find one that is sulfate free.

I tuned in because I have hair loss due to a thyroid condition. But my daughter has my fine strands, and her dad's curl (his hair is very coarse) but she has a lot of it. and a very tender scalp. I try really hard to be gentle. but combing through her hair is a nightmare. it always has been. she's 10 now, she refuses to comb her own hair, she freaks out when I do it. and she gets terrible mats and tangles. I've researched and tried everything I can think of. I even put her hair in braids for the last month. I just don't know what to do anymore. I do comb from the bottom up.

He said that thing about your nails snagging your hair and somehow it made me think of when I used to shave with the Schick Intuition razor, and literally almost every single shaving day, I would accidentally shave off a piece of my finger nail EVERY SINGLE TIME! With other razors it almost never happens, but with that specific razor, it was a regular thing. I know that has nothing to do with the video, but that's how my mind works

When I had a very thin/practically bald patch as well as general thin hair I used Roots shampoo. I was dubious whether it would work or not but it did and definitely helped my hair.
I also love the Batiste dry shampoo, it does help so much. The tip I picked up (in one of Brad s videos maybe) is to put it on the night before, before it gets too greasy. Works so much better than putting on already pretty greasy hair.

This was a great video. I have hair loss due to my medication. I m actually at the point where I ve considered a wig however for a couple years now I ve been using a product I bought at Walmart, it s Garnier Whole Blends. it s the leave in treatment conditioner. I put one pump in the palm of my hand and just run it through clean damp hair. It strengthens my hair and I love it so much. I paid 10 for it

Hi Brad! I was wondering about your thoughts on Co-Washing.
I have very sensitive skin, eczema and dandruff so I use T-Sal dandruff shampoo and the Hairitage Double Down co-wash in between to be more gentle to my hair.
It has worked quite well but my hair is still thinner than it used to be. Please let me know what you think about co-wash, if it's good/bad, etc. Thank you!
Much love. Xoxo

I have hypothyroidism, and it causes hair loss. and the medicine for it also causes hair loss. no matter how gentle I am with my hair, it comes out a lot. My doctor has me on prenatal vitamins to counter it. Not sure if it's working but hey, it's an attempt.
Though I'm glad that there's a video on this, it's a really difficult to find people you can trust giving this information.

Shy HI! I have really bad social anxiety and I just want to say I am proud of you, the work you do, and for braving the out doors to find these products. Thank you for the informative video! I have fairly thin hair and do worry that I might lose it all one day so I will keep these products in mind. If I end up needing to use them I will be sure to mention you! Much love! Blessings

Minoxidil/rogain kills cats if exposed to it, even the residue on pillows so please don't use it if you have felines in the house.
Also get blood work done including hormone levels. I suffered from hair loss for a year before the doctor tested me and figured out that my hormones were off. Getting on birth control solved the problem for me.

I love Batiste, it's really good quality & pretty cheap in the UK. I've tried others but always go back to it. I use it at night & brush it out in the morning. I also have the same scalp brush with the silicone cones & I think it helps clear my follicles from dry shampoo without snapping off hairs, it's bliss! Thanks, Brad, I love your vids x

Oh my goodness, thank you so much for making this video! I had a hysterectomy earlier this year, and ever since my hair has been thinning really bad. And my hair is the one thing that boosts my self esteem. I'm glad to learn that there are products that I can find over the counter without resorting to my doctor. Thanks again!
