Hairdresser Reacts To People Bleaching Their Eyebrows

first time I ever cut my hair I went from having hair down past my knees [i'm 6'1 for context] to a pixie cut. I wanted short hair but when i first saw myself it was like what have I done? now I love my short hair and if i don't like it well it grows.

I have a Katie Perry style short haircut and I bleach my eyebrows too. I always make sure my bleach mix is very thick when I do my eyebrows and make sure you dont see a single eyebrow hair. If you see it, it won't bleach like you want it, apply it thick and well covered. I then make a dye mix of dark grey and some dark purple with conditioner. eventually I get silver after some washes. Regrowth on my eyebrows is pretty cool too. Dark brown and silver muddled together. It's fun but always be careful when putting bleach near the eyes!

That last girl THICK THICK THICK THICK!
Be blonde is BLEACH and people always get the 30/40 vol peroxide.
The other is NOT a toner its HIGHLIFT COLOUR WITH the usual 40vol! Frying your hair thats all it does. I hate being a hairdresser at times it frustrates so me so much!
The amount of people we told not to do it the way like she did it and then they wondered why they had chemical burns?

With the first girl, I wonder if her bleach went bad since she's had it so long. I didn't know it could happen, but it happened to me with the tub of bleach I'd been using religiously for a year or two. I bought new developer, because I thought that was the problem, but my hair kept barely lifting at all. I bought a new tub of bleach and bam! My hair lifted so fast. Just a thought.

PLEASE HELP!
I have black eyebrows and medium/dark brown hair. I'd like my eyebrows to be dark brown rather than black. Do I have to bleach them first and then color them dark brown after? Or, can I just bleach them for a short time to pull some of the color out but not all?
Is there any way to get them from black to dark brown without bleach?

I think everyone should drastically switch up their brows at least once in their life. It s a fun and safe way to experiment with your look and it s low-risk because they will grow back. I ve shaved, bleached, dyed, plucked, waxed, laminated mine until I finally found my look. THEY WILL GROW BACK. If you bleach your brows in just three days the brown hairs will start growing in.

This is very interesting. I'm just used to people bleaching them to color them like red or blue or something fun to match their hair color.
As a natural blonde who has to fill in her eyebrows to make them- you know look like she has anyy brows because they're so fine blonde- it's an interesting thought that people do this just for the look itself.

The second girl didn t even get them a chance. When I bleached my brows years ago I looked weird until I did my makeup and really filled them in with white, golden and light brown brow pencils. If you re not one who likes to put a look together or do you makeup it may not before you but if you love to do makeup and have eccentric style it will look great.

Me: . My eyebrow hair is as thick as it gets, and don't get me started on the roots - those roots will hold on for dear life, it's torture having to pluck them.
My head of hair however is quite fine, the opposite of my brows, and it's brown while my brows are black. No, I didn't dye them black.

Give yourself at least a week to get used to a change like this. It s normal to think that you look strange when you ve seen yourself with dark eyebrows your entire life. I m looking at these girls thinking that they look great while they are freaking out. Not a fan of this look on dark hair but the other two looked fabulous!

I have to fill/color my blonde brows just to look like I have them. I don't get this trend, because in photos the brows don't look blonde, they look non-existent. It makes you look like you shaved them off. Maybe that will be the next trend. So glad I don't follow trends, and just be myself!

My youngest son had naturally blonde hair and eyebrows and he would always get frustrated that apps with face filters wouldn't work for him because they look for eyebrows and from a distance it looked like he didn't have eyebrows. I don't know why someone would want to lighten their eyebrows!

I like bleached eyebrows w/ bleached blond hair only.
But, most of all, I like when their eyebrows match their hair color, otherwise I hate it lol
Like, 2 shades lighter for darker hair & 2 shades darker for lighter hair, BUT SAME COLOR
(Otherwise it looks too fake or off-putting)

my eyebrows are a pain to bleach. i always want them to be a light/medium auburn, but they go from black to still black, to still black, to slightly lighter but still very dark brown, to invisible (checking every 3-5 minutes. i always end up just having to go over them with brow pomade
