Hairdresser Reacts To People Cutting Layers At Home I've been cutting my own hair for several years now and I've definitely watched many of your tutorials! I like the tie and cut method where you keep each section where it's going to end up but if I'm going to pull all of it somewhere it will be to the back so it's slightly longer in the front. I also use clippers to buzz the ends below the hair ties then I go back and clean up with scissors. Sometimes my son will help with the back. I kinda do something inbetween the butterfly and wolf cut if I want layers. Right now most of it is the same length again and I'm wanting to cut it again bc it's so thick but I'm also loosing a lot bc of postpartum: (

Having traumatic flashbacks to when my sister begged me to trim her hair. Im an art major and have cut my own hair since forever. I spent an hour just measuring and trimming minuscule segments. Walking around, checking all angles and then double and triple checked it. It was PERFECT. Mind you, when she came to me one side of her head was past her butt, one side was above her hip, like a steep angle down from one side to the other. I got it all one length and it was crisp af. She PULLS IT ALL TO THE FRONT FROM ONE SIDE AND GETS MAD THAT ITS CROOKED. INSTEAD OF LOOKING IN THE MIRROR USING THE HAND MIRROR AS IT LAY SHE OVERDIRECTED IT ALL TO THE FRONT LEFT SIDE. I kept trying to explain shes over directing it, that when she stands and its laying behind her its straight. She wasn’t having it and was literally scream crying at me saying i butchered her hair.

"Any ladies leave your no down below". I would be surprised if that DIDN'T work. Like I wouldn't mind getting to know THE Brad; ) I actually had a a hair dresser apprentice botch my bangs a couple of years ago. i tried to tell her I wanted curtain bangs (I had front bangs at the time that had grown too long and wanted a change. Instead of cutting curtain bangs, she just cut the length off my current bangs so I got hemi bangs (without the front. I was so upset - I went home and cut myself some front bangs again. Trust me when I say: never touch a pair of scissors when you are frustrated or mad. I ended up cutting some of my eyelashes off and didn't notice until a day or two later when I was doing my makeup getting ready for a job interview.

omg i bleached the underside of my hair n a big piece of it that i did a test strand on burnt off. OMFG. thank goodness it was in the back where my bb hairs are located so it sort of blended in but the rest was this horrid Dark Yellow rusty color that didn't take the Manic Panic Purple i tried to put over it. I have since fixed it but the Bleaching process was going good, I followed your advice, slathered it on foils, no roots back to front but by the end I remembered oh shit I should have left out the test strand. I've got a beautiful highlight effect now 6 weeks later. Thank you Brad Mondo for your videos they showed me what I needed to do to fix it. Never stop. k

Slow down on the judging two min into the video and you’re going IN on her current state of hair and then the only thing she did was section the top of her hair off on the top to start with the bottom. Granted the cut isn’t great at all but the negativity is actually really fcking shocking and kind of Ew. I’ve been watching you for years so I’m used to the comments and like the bluntness and realness when you react and usually it comes off as humorous and helpful but it’s giving you’re having a bad day or something like are YOU ok.

I would NEVER EVER from watching a video. Brad Mondo or not LOL There is a reason my hair goes down to my butt! I have a hard time trimming my hair and trusting a hair dresser doing it because my mom used to be a hair dresser and always cut my hair into a mullet and it was in style back then the 80's Not a great time for hair styles but I do miss the times when women and men used to actually do their hair every day LOL I was only going to say women but back then men used a lot of hair spray too

Did the wolf cut to remove a lot of my damage. Worked out great. Been using a hair trimmer since and haven't needed to cut my hair. My hair is still in layers, which I don't really want, but at least it looks and feels healthier. I love your tutorials, but I also have a slight cosmetologist background, so they're not very difficult to follow. I'm also trying to avoid bleach and bright colors. You don't know how difficult it is seeing your colors.

I'm convinced that people don't actually know what kind of hair cut they want, so they find a random tutorial and try to follow it. But since it wasn't what they thought, they are confused why it didn't come out. Like the 2nd girl needed to follow your overall hair cut tutorial where you put the hair into 4 sections and cut the length off. Then go back and do face framing layers or whatever she was trying to do. lol

I’ve done a wolf cut on myself multiple times, because of trauma I can’t go to a hair dresser. But it always turns out really good, or at least I think so I think I followed one of your tutorials and just modified it a little and it turned out pretty decent, I’ve always cut it dry because it always turns out shorter when I do it wet and my hair is mostly straight so I don’t know how I manage it

I really wanted layers in my hair and I'm glad I found Brad's butterfly hair tutorial. BUT! before I attempted anything I made sure to buy myself a decent haircutting scissors and thinning shears. I also used a leave-on conditioner so I don't have to repeatedly wet my hair and the results look great. You just really REALLY have to be careful and try your best to follow his instructions well.

About a month ago I bought Laifen Swift Special not knowing anything about this product.
Now I'm in love with diffuser nozzle for this for this hair dryer. My curls are very happy and seems to be more healthy (ink they just don't look like hay after blow drying as with every other hair dryer.
And now I see my beloved Brad (King) Mondo saying about this hair dryer What a coincidence

Ok so, ive followed for a long time and noticed alot from professional cuts. but can Brad or another professional answer me How bad would the hair layout be for instance if you just comb all the wet hair forward. like if ur upside down and you then pull it forward to over direct. idk if im making sense atm lol but would the hair lay properly and layers look OK

During the pandemic I followed one of your tutorials to give my daughter her first haircut. I did not record it. I did use hair shears, and while not perfect it turned out pretty good. I’m thankful that I can take her to the salon now because they know what they’re doing lol but in a pinch it really helped me give her a home trim during the lockdown.

I have been using your butterfly cut tutorial for the last four cuts and it looks great! I have received a lot of compliments and it’s really easy to maintain. All I do is spray a bit of salt spray after the shower and let it air dry
I have also done the wolf cut two times and it looks good too, but I prefer the framing of the butterfly cut

Everyone should just do the two ponytails butterfly cut at home. Just do that exactly as Brad describes to a T and it will turn out decent at the very worst. I've done it on my curly, side part hair, my daughter's super long straight, fine hair and other daughter's craft thick straight hair. Aggressively straight. They all turned out well.

why os this amusing. plan on using some BradMOndo Berry Tonight! also did you butterfly technique for some layers one sides good one side not as good lol the second girl should have done the butterfly cut tutorial cause she would have got those layers with a lot less work and chopped a bunch at once oh I also did the mask last week

LOVE my Laifen! and beazzling it is a great way to give a bit more grip to the handle. that would be my only critique is it's so smooth that i find my hand slips down to the vent area. i don't really want to block that. i've put 2 clear rubber bands on the handle but i like the bedazzle idea sooo much more. i have a project now

Almost anything looks good/much better/intentional when you put big, loose curls in it. Bad highlights Curl it. Bad dye job Curl it. Bad hair cut Curl it. It’s a cheat code for hair. The true test is if it looks good bone straight or on natural curls (whichever most applies to the person who’s hair is in question.

Every time i go so where for a hair cut and layers they alwaus ask me "how many layers do you want"
I always get so confused. I have thick shaggy curly/wavy hair. I like to have a lot of layers, short ontop long on the bottom so. I just say "all of them. "
What does this mean theres a number to layers

Am I delusional Why does she have a yellow star sticker on her nose And why has nobody else said anything about it It reminds me of when I used to play soccer and we would have to tape any nose rings we had. Except she’s not playing soccer, and it’s not tape, and. I just don’t get it.
