Why does everyone try to use brushes & foils It’s just so easy in my opinion to use your hands. I have much more control over what I’m doing & there’s no application brush or foil blocking my vision or getting in the way. I can also feel how much product I’m using & make sure it really gets on every strand. And it’s so easy to feather up bleach or dye to give a gradient, blended look. I just take the hair slice, apply the bleach on it & make sure it’s all saturated. Then take the hair in between my pointer & middle finger & kinda diffuse near the root. Idk if that makes sense lol it’s definitely not a technique I made up or anything, hairdressers do it all the time but I just never see that many people do it at home. It’s so much easier! But everyone does it the most difficult way & then there’s a bunch of harsh lines & spotting. I’m not a professional hairstylist but I’ve always done my own hair (cut, straighten, braids, wigs, bleach/color, etc) so I just wanted to share what I find helpful. I have thick 4a-4c hair & I color my hair either blow dried or sometimes curly but always thoroughly brushed & sectioned beforehand. Anyway, I was excited to see Brads reaction to Mia’s hair! It’s definitely not perfect but I think she did a great job & she looks gorgeous. That tone is beautiful on her too. I think she definitely looks great with the golden blonde as opposed to the ashy blonde that most people do.

So I bleach my roots at home with 20 vol and despite having a lot of hair it only takes me 30 minutes, I leave it in for a hour because my hair is stubborn. My hair is a Dark Navy blue, I actually lighten it to a pale yellow and that’s because I hate green with a passion especially that swamp water green that pops up with blue hair. I use semi permanent dye and I use a blue hair mask after everything which I leave in all night. I’ve been using Brad mando’s blue conditioner in order to keep up the color. My hair only fades if I don’t use a blue hair mask. This method works for all colors.
Also a trick I learn in cosmo school was to take conditioner or shampoo and apply to the pieces that are done and leave exposed to the air. It’s meant to stop the process so you can get done. It works very very well.

I started doing my own hair in 2020 and since then I have only been to the salon a few times for big chops and going red the first time. And now I am confident enough to do my mom’s highlights and I’m good at it. I have white/copper now and it looks better when I touch it up than when I go to the salon. I get to play with tones and now it’s like an art form. My skill now saves my mom and I hundreds of dollars and I make her feel beautiful and it is 100% empowering. And I owe a lot of it to you Brad(:

You don't have to talk to the hairstylist who is doing your hair. Just do polite initial conversation and allow them to consultate what you are looking to achieve and then relax. Bring a book or just close your eyes and enjoy the process. If they try and talk just give closer answers and eventually they will get the message Or say oh I'm so ready to relax today during this I'm so tired. Mostly hairdressers won't mind as we also get tired Of mindless repetitive conversation.
Don't feel anxious.

That shower head is honestly revolutionary. My parents spent a lot of time living at my grandmas old farm house cleaning it up to sell. That house ran on a well and had really hard water. My parents have grey hair and my dads went this weird yellow shade and my mom hated having hers like that so she resorted to washing her hair in the sink with a bit of filtered water. If this was a thing then I would have bought it for them sooo quick.

Mia could save the grown-out roots vibe by doing a root shadow. Use a level 2-5 demi-permanent color in correspondence with the color of the rest of the hair. I cover any excess highlights with it as well. There are videos that show dragging and blending techniques. That's the last step I always do to finish highlights and control the lines of demarcation.
Mia has a great attitude when it comes to trying new things.

I want to dye my hair black with blue streaks, in what order should I bleach and dye it
I think I would section out the parts I want blue, bleach them and then apply the black, then the blue and rinse it out together
I've heard rinsing your hair with cold water prevents it pretty well from bleeding onto eachother, but I'm still a bit scared of the black just tinting the blue parts when washing it out

1: 19 I get my hair done every 5 weeks. Sometimes I will sit in silence for 80-90% of the appointment. And I'm there a minimum of two hours, longer if my extensions need to be re-installed. My stylist is great, and we do talk about a lot of stuff, but she does not care if we don't talk either. I feel like most stylists get this. My introverted self can't talk for 3-4 hours straight all the time.

Brad, I use house hold bleach to get colour off my hands as last resort.
Most of the time shampoo will move it but when I doesn't, I crack out the bleach.
You need to really wash that stuff off and moisturize your hands heaps for a few days afterwards to get you skin back to good and I don't recommend doing this regularly.
Your skin will hate you but it works

Brad video idea/challenge! Have someone there in studio to bleach and dye THEIR OWN hair. You're NOT ALLOWED TO TOUCH THEM OR ANYTHING just guide them, tell them whats right/wrong and what to do/not do and point at stuff but you can't touch them or anything. That would be an EPIC video and for sure it'll go viral.
LOVE you and ALL your videos!

I came to see your reaction to Mia after watching her DIY colouring yesterday. but OH MY! The last one! That was incredible. Not at all what I expected. But how did she restore all the broken bits The blonde bits near the front looked like they were barely hanging on. Yet it looked fabulous by the end. Was that real

18: 25 this is what i don't like about going to Sally's majority of people who work there seem to not know what they are talking about and giving false information. This is why if you're gonna do stuff at home do a lot of research bout it and make sure you know what youre working with and have help

Mia's hair is naturally that perfect shade where she could have easily just did a blonde box dye to make it easy for her then just bleach the money pieces and call it a day! lol AND WHILE THE LAST GURLS WASNT TERRIBLE IT TOTALLY AGED HER SHE SHOULD JUST PUT A PINK OR FUN COLOR ON WHEN THE GREY FADES OUT

On a side note: a mark of a good hair stylist is also being able to read their client and give them comfortable space if needed. Japanese hair stylists have been excellent on that ground actually. They talk if you engage enthusiastically but if you don’t they stay friendly but give you space to zone out

How should I dye my hair so that the growth is not so noticeable The growth in the front of my face is light gray and the rest of the hair that has grown out is medium brown I am currently dyed level 8-9 blonde, I was hoping to get a silver tone, but it won't work because my hair tends to turn yellow.

Brad's face during the reveal has me lmao I don't know how Mia does it, but she literally excels at everything she is tries. She's so humble, wholesome and just plain stinkin adorable. The relationship you guys have is adorable as well. Thank you for finally doing Mia's video!

27: 01 I use a mix of T11 and T18 and it gives me the perfect, natural sandy vanilla blonde. I have been telling myself that I will change the color and do something different to give my hair a break from the lightener, but I just can’t do it because I love it so much
