I gotta say I hate the way the friend reacted in the second video. Trying to tell him he was overreacting and cause he used the bleach before he couldnt be allergic to it.
I never had any allergies until I was 22 years old, could eat anything and was totally fine. Then one day I ate a sweet with nuts in it (which I had eaten many times before) and 10 minutes after my nose started to get blocked, my throat and tongue swelled up, my voice got raspy and I had trouble breathing. That’s called an anaphylactic shock and it can literally kill you in the worst case.
So please NEVER assume you arent allergic to something just because you havent reacted before. Allergies can come and go all throughout your life and I had to learn the hard way.

I sometimes got the same reaction as the 2. guy while bleaching. Not always! But with different bleach and developers. I would have red face, red neck, and it started spreading to the rest of my body. I can perscribe some of it to the panic I was feeling when it started happening. What also doesn't help in this situation is an enclosed space! Please, please, please, open a window or go outside if you feel this happening. Don't stay in one small space with all the fumes. It can and will affect your breathing and contribute to the redness. Always do it in an aired out room or outside if possible. Especially if you have sensitive skin, allergies or problems with breathing!

Ok. But the fact that Brad doesn't seem to know what to do if someone has an allergic reaction (or even chemical burns) while using bleach is kind of scary to me. He should be immediately telling people to go to the hospital and I didn't hear that at all in this video. Both allergic reactions (especially to harsh chemicals) and chemical burns in general can get out of hand really quickly. And I would think someone with his experience would know that. Even if they hadn't personally experienced it. You would still at some point have been taught about the dangers of the chemicals you are working with.

Their skin is burning but they add more chemicals smh lol. Does anybody know what a patch test is When I started going blonde I patch tested each time. Another thing, there are several semi permanent dyes in the grey spectrum you can turn into an overtone conditioner to tone. You don't always have to use T18 type toners. You do gotta make sure your hair is light enough tho. I use a Titanium color and people are floored that it get's it so light and almost white looking depending on how much of the dye I use in the conditioner. Far less damage and you get multiple uses out of one bottle.

I went to a hairdresser to have my hair bleached. They bleached my hair then went outside and had lunch! My head felt like it was on fire and my hair was smoking. The bleach shot down my neck and burned me. I thought it was a minor burn but it wasn't. The hairdresser could see how bad it was and just carried on doing my hair. I ended up having to go to a specialist burns unit several times and have dressings every other day. In the end, I had a skin graft. The hairdresser had put heat protectant in the bleach.

(Not) fun fact! : you can become allergic to anything even if you’ve used it before and didn’t have a reaction! I used to not be allergic to hair dye and colored my hair constantly, then one day I was dying my hair with a dye I always used and then the next day my whole head got swollen like a balloon and I had to go to the ER and get a steroid shot and take steroids for a week always do a patch test on your skin to check if you’re allergic even if you’ve used the product before!

that girl. yes, as someone with anxiety, it can have some pretty strange physical symptoms that you wouldnt expect like hives and rashes. even if he was just getting anxious because his face was a little red from the heat, it's safer to wash the bleach off (and wash his whole body while he's at it, because if he is actually having an allergic reaction or getting chemical burns it could be seriously harmful. better to be safe than sorry.

Got a question: what color would look best on me I have thiner hair, my og hair color is dirty dish water blonde, and I dyed it sky blue, but it's now greenish yellow (because I bleached it) and growing out so I want to dye it again because I'm tired of people saying my hair looks greasy. White skin with a tan, eyes are grey with inner yellow circles around my pupil. Hair is a little longer then the shoulders. Any suggestions

How expensive is it to get your hair done in USA By the time they buy all the bleach, toner, developer, and accessories, are you not just as well going to get it done professionally Only reason I can see is that the cost is way different to here in Scotland
I am 100% a purple box dye person btw! About 12 years I’ve been doing that so not judging! It just seems like so much hassle and money for a possible bad result x

I also dyed my hair green whilst trying to go grey. Everywhere I had blonde highlights went like a turquoise/green and all my natural hair went grey. It didn't look bad it just wasn't what I was going for. I ended up rocking it for a few months then dyed it a dark brown that I HATED because we couldn't think of anything else to cover up the green. Moral of the story of you're blonde don't use a blue-based grey dye

To all the people saying the girl from the second clip is GASLIGHTING him. What do you think that word means Like, do I think she reacted wrong Yes. But she was probably just misinformed and misjudged the situation. She was trying to calm her friend down, admittedly in a rather unproductive manner that came off as rude and dismissive. That is not what gaslighting is! She even ended up realising he was right!

Honestly I feel the guy in the second clip. Am I having an allergic reaction was me over a year ago (due to penicillin) and I ONLY went to the ER when I couldn't really breath anymore. They asked me why I showed up so late and not when the hives started showing up Thankfully my bf did not dismiss it as she did in this clip and urged me to go to the ER (I would have probably waited way too long myself)

The guy in the second video is swelling up and having a reaction but his friend gaslighting him and telling him he's fine makes me so mad. I get that she doesn't want to take responsibility for an accident, but that does NOT make it okay to brush off what is happening. Your friend is having a serious health problem. I hope he doesn't ever let her do his hair again. Gaslighting like that is NOT okay.

My natural hair colour is light brown, which goes fairly light in the sun. After seeing Daisy Jones and the Six, I went to my hairdresser and said, I'm in my Daisy Jones era, please help my hair get there too! That was two years ago. This is absolutely my color and I don't know that I will ever go back to my natural brown (which is pretty grey by now, because GenX) Love your videos, Brad!

I lift the hair up and it's easy. Laying it flat down your back and putting your hands behind your back is just no and I only do a handful of random highlights so no aching arms or overprocessed hair. She would be best having someone do it for her for if bleaching her entire head. Wear a plastic gown and don't get it on your neck! If you do, wash your neck immediately!

I look way better with black hair than I do with my natural mousy dirty blonde. It brings out my green eyes and olive skin way more, and its alot more striking. No one believes me when I tell them its not my natural hair color, it takes alot of maintenance and ive microbladed my eyebrows to bring the look together but I swear ill never go back to my natural color.

Okay, i read the comment section and im so glad that I'm not the only one that thought the friend on the second video was so goddamn ignorant. I got so pissed off at her for ignoring her friends worries and being like 'oh your fine' and stuff when he was expressing concerns. If she was my hairdresser I would leave and never come back

strand test strand test. patch test patch test. omggggg people!
that guy was CLEARLY having an allergic reaction. his skin is bright red. his speech is somewhat slurring. hes been mentioning pain the entire time. the swelling. plus all of the other symptoms. and her gaslighting him is why so many people die of anaphylaxis.

Natural hair colour is the best Welllllll I have flat dishwater/mousey blonde naturally, it's pretty typical for my region. Add pale skin and blue eyes and everything looks just kinda liveless. That's why I dye my hair auburn - that bit of warmth makes my eye colour pop and skin look healthier.
