I wish I recorded myself Brad! I've been doing my own hair styling and coloring for years. And I'm no stranger to styling family and friends hair. I dont color other people tho unless im absolutely sure what the goals are, I might consider it but its typically a no from me just cuz im not a profeshhh.
Anyways, last year, I decided I wanted some honey blond highlights, of course it was an emotional decision (post partum brain decisions) I had no business doing haha so I went and found the cheapest box kit of bleach (sis was broke otherwise I would've went to Aunt Sally for my supplies) and a toning kit.
I have very curly hair, so I stretched out the hair for easier application. Sectioned it correctly and everything. So far so good with the application and techniques right. RIGHT! Some how, at some point, I dont remember, I think my evil twin took over because what went from only applying it in a few spots just for a pop of color. too a full blown, mess. Let's just say, ya girl was very indecisive and it shows. Lol you can literally examine my hair and tell the story of how and when decisions were made
It went from only a few streaks, some thin some chunky. to some kind of Balliyage attemp and most of my ends like an ombre effect.
Don't get me wrong, its cute and I pull it off with my curly styles. But FOR SURE there's like a solid BLOCK of hair in the back thats just straight up bleached lol somehow the hair back there must've been mashed together under my shower cap or something. Mind you, i did NOT press the cap onto my hair cuz I specifically didn't want the other sections to touch but it somehow still happened to that back section
I just know that if I ever wanted to go back over it, its gonna be a lot more work than if I just stuck to one technique of coloring the hair.
The toner was a gloss type in the shade honey wheat and im not sure if it did much but I did like the color results. I love honey blond on me or like an orange golden color. Just compliments my skin in my opinion but who knows. maybe I'll record the next hair attempt.
If I could do it all again, id just do an ombre of lighter brown mids to honey blond ends. hopefully I can correct it, i just dont have any plans to any time soon

The 2nd girls problem is that she went to Walmart for bleach to then do pastel pink. Also, bleach from a box dye kit just sounds like a bad outcome. I used to dye my hair when I was growing up. My mom would say no, and I would say fine I'll show u I'm doing it myself. I've had blue, purple, red, black, dark blonde, etc. All of it I used box dye tho on myself. I tried to dye my hair blonde myself and bk then we didn't have internet so I learned a big lesson. Let a professional do it, period. Now, since we have the internet, I think it's easier to really do some good research b4 hand to know what to do and not to do. Lately, I've been forced into learning how to bleach dye hair bc my daughter wants that super blonde hair. She's impatient, so she started with the day way. She did the color oops twice to lift several box dye colors. Then I bleached it with quick white like super saturated her hair. Her roots r beaming white, some sorta bright yellow, but her mid to ends r like orange, not super orange, so that's great. We r waiting a little bit, then gonna bleach again until it's all pale yellow or lighter to tone from there.
Sorry, I just got off into a ramble of a comment lmao.

The 2nd girl is using box dye bleach it is not the same as the bleach u get from Sally's. Like quick white, for example.
Also, that pink box dye she got 2nd showing a light pink and a dark pink. The dark pink is what ur hair will look like if u have darker hair b4 u use it. The light pink is what ur hair will look like if u have light hair, b4 u use it like blonde b4 u use it.
If ur trying to go blonde and using box dye kit, u need to have light brown virgin hair for it to work. Otherwise, u need to go get bleach from Sally's if u have virgin hair that's dark. Or go to a professional. If u have a bunch of colors already on ur hair, then u will need to do ur research to figure out what to do/get to get to blonde, and it will be a journey. Or just go to a professional
I am a regular person, not a hair pro at all. I've just had to do research to do my daughter's hair several times. I have done mine in the past as well. Now I won't do mine. I will go to a professional for mine if I want blonde for sure.

I finally purchased the XMONDO Supernova Blond Toning Mask. OMG! It is so good! I've been getting a super blond colorweave for about 15 yrs(every 12 weeks) used all the high end and expensive purple shampoo and conitio er( Amika, Purology, etc, and this beat them all. I'm able to use a shampoo suited to my hair type and 2x a week I do this mask, my hair has never looked so vibrant and healthy! I'm an XMONDO fan for life. 30$ for 8 ounces is a steal, Brad knows his shit! Thank you Brad, I love your vids and you are so entertaining and handsome to watch. You can always admire a beautiful person.

Literally Brad looks like my cousin with everything lol but Well Brad ur handsome no matter what color ur hair is. I honestly did this and turned my brown green lol. I won’t never do it again. I found a bleach that yes you could get it at Walmart but it works wonderful and it never made my hair break yes it turns orange or yellow but I also dye my hair red over it. I actually get hot roots but again I color it with permanent hair color that is a red shade darker. I have also bleached my hair where I had to cut it a couple times probably 2.

Hate black hair yet I've died it so many times after i couldn't get the right color, but to take it out is so hard, i bought medium brown and my hair turned black idk whats going on with these hair dyes, just took that off my hair too. Wish they had a ready-made kit for dark brown hair to different shades of blonde, different hair kits for whatever shade you're trying to get #Bradmondo should come out with something like that and affordable, hair dreams

So I was black box dye stopped end of last year. I’ve done 2 colour removers and the top lightened a little the bottom not much at all. So I was thinking to do a bleach bath rather than a total bleach but seeing that girl trying to get the black box out has given me concerns that I may just have to straight up bleach the whole lot. I only want to go to light ash brown, I don’t want to be blonde. Advice anyone Love from Australia

Um the first one end result - makes her look jaundice. It does NOT look good with her complexion. She looks ill, with the finished hair color, in my opinion.
See this is something so many people ignore. Will whatever color you are going for work with your complexion
I wanted to go red and it made me look jaundice. Although my blue eyes popped but I looked sick.
So I went back to blonde or brown or both only

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you're bleaching your hair and you even suspect you're running out of bleach, do yourself a massive favor and leave entire sections undone and saturate the ones you're doing super well instead of trying to stretch out the bleach. It won't ever be work and starting fresh on untouched sections with more bleach is sooo much easier than trying to fix a leopard job.

Aaand, this is how I went from waist length, black box dyed, luscious layered, naturally straight, course thickness, to ear length, cooked blonde hair in 2020. Never again. Hair is almost waist length again, and I'm not ever using bleach again.
Homegirl was certified. I said I think it's time to rinse, it's burning, she said no. Hair turned to string cheese. Glad I didn't end up Bald.

I was capable to go from red hair to light blonde thanks Garnier olia (It took me 2 rounds of ammonia-free bleach box a light blonde dye box) and my hair was super damaged before so I was worried, also because red color is super difficult to lift. But surprisingly I did it by myself for the first time and not only it looks great without spots but my hair is even healthier and stronger

Suggestion! Make a video using a couple Wella toners like T18 and show what level it has to be used on. Then show some SEMI Permanent toners just using 10V. I think people go for Wella because it's familiar. Yes, it works but most of the time it isn't used as intended. I used to once and my hair felt like hay after. It felt worse than the bleach.

i watch brad videos NO YOU DONT. But i do. I DO. i watch his videos and i successfully bleached my black and red box dye out of my hair AT HOME with 0 BREAKAGE and very little damage. all it took was a lil research and sum brad mondo bleach fail videos and my hair is BLONDE and beautiful

there is something I've learnt by bleaching, dyeing and damaging my hair through years. don't bleach it unless you're sure of doing it. Sometimes I bleached my hair but I was so scared to fry my hair off that I applied less bleach and it just ended up worse - and fried anyway.

I'm sorry to the last girl I'm happy that she's happy. But that did not give mermaid vibes, just. Like when colour is starting to wear off furniture. Some spots still have a bright colour left and so many spotts that are wearing off on different levels
reply

22: 04 I'm sorry, this girl is joking right. Black to pastel pink! Then like literally no bleach on her hair at all, be like ohbits really light in the back, no, no it's not lol. She's trolling us. My hair is like silver right now and barely takes pastels

the second girl, overall, just looks more radiant with lighter hair in general. the black was too harsh for her low contrast features. if she likes it and feels confident in the black, then whatevs, but a caramel or even rose gold would be so pretty I think.
reply

Wow the second girl was in her own realm of reality cause we are seeing 2 different things. The first girl: the toner definitely gave it a natural look although I would love to see her with white platinum blonde hair I think that would look so good on her

These people should never attempt to dye or bleach their own hair because they have no idea what they are doing! They get themselves into a bad situation and mess! I guess it’s something for Brad to react to and entertaining for viewers to see!

I am a 16 year old guy and i started growing out my hair for more that 2. 5 years, and i want to get it cut because only times when i had it cut when i was bored and cut my hair little bit, i want to keep it longer so i can at least tie it back.
