yeah uhm chemistry student here (2nd year in uni) and i coulnd't help but notice what you said about micelles/surfactants. Micelles are made of surfactants. the latter are like little worms with a fatty tail and a polar head: the fatty tail bonds to the dirt and the head to the water, so it can carry away the built up when you rinse your hair/body. When there are many surfactants molecule, they form micelles, which are usually sphered shaped, with the heads on the outside and the tails on the inside. It's soap. And demonizing SDS/SLS/surfactants and then calling it a different name it's marketing.

Hey Kayley I know you're busy, but I have a hair question for you if you get a chance to answer. My hair has always been naturally curly, but when I got my hair cut to shoulder length I lost my curls and my hair is only wavy now. I have to put my hair in french pigtail braids every night before bed in order to get the kind of texture I want. Do you have any suggestions for how I could get my natural curl back? Techniques, products, anything? Thank you so much even if you don't get to answer this

I'm super curious to know about Kristin Ess' Amythist temporary tint spray. My colorist visited me at work (that sounds weird but we're also friends and the salon where she works is two doors down) yesterday to tell me about a client whose hair she had to fix after using the Kristin Ess lavender spray since she knew that I used the rose gold from time to time. She pretty much told me to halt all Kristin Ess until we know what's going on since she spent hours taking green out of her client's hair.

I have very fine very frizzy hair, it is kinda wavy so if I comb it I become a cloud, I'm used to just comb it in the shower but during the day is always full of knots. because it is fine I haven't found a product to moisturise it without really looking like it's dirty-oily, it can only deal with shampoo and masks so far. do you have any tips on how to improve it without weighing it down? No matter if I try liquids, oils or creams it always looks like I did nothing or like I haven't showered in weeks

So funny you didn't like the scalp scrub so much. It does dissolve quickly, but I am in LOVE with it. My scalp has done a total 180 and my hair looks super shiny and smooth between the scrub and the micellar shampoo You've got me super excited to try the bubble mask and the dry conditioner now, too. Thanks for sharing this video. I absolutely love this line and am telling everyone I know to try it. I think it can really help those with the evil seborrheic dermatitis, too: )

Because it makes my scalp super scaly, but also, any scratching makes it worse. so, any opinion? Also if you had tips to take care of scalps with conditions and how to hide the redness on the edges, that would be amazing

Please do not give misinformation such as micelles are not made of surfactants, or that all surfactants are bad (because then all the dirt would be trapped in your hair if there were 0 surfactants) But thank you for the video nonetheless

Aaaaaaaah I want to try Kristin Ess's products soooo bad and this line in particular spoke to me (and to my hair) in a way I never thought hair products could but unfortunately I live in France. I've experienced build up, itchiness, flakyness and nothing that I can find here in France (at an affordable price and without a ton of shady ingredients) has fully satisfied me.
