I m so thankful that you did this video! My daughter is gay and it took time for me to truly accept. I immediately told her that I support her and love her but in truth, I secretly hoped it was a phase.
A few years later, she confided in me that if I had not been accepting when she came out, she probably wouldn t be alive today. That s when I realized I couldn t just fake it. I had to change my heart in order to TRULY accept her. So I increased my exposure: joined the Out & Equal group at work as well as other ally groups.
I hate this term, but by doing this video, you are normalizing gay relationships & gay marriage, which will cast a long shadow, even if you help change the heart of just one person. That one person might have a teenager who desperately needs just a thread of acceptance in order to keep going.
So thank you! I adore you both, and wish you many years of happiness together.

2) Please come to Greece for your honeymoon! We have a ton of islands, beaches, and most people don't emphasize too much on the LGBTQ+ factor. It's safe to come and enjoy yourself, especially on a secluded island with lots of space to yourself.

Been waiting for this! So excited for you two! Highly recommend Belize for your honeymoon. Short flight, mostly everyone speaks English and takes USD, amazing food, can hike Mayan ruins and sit on the beach all in one day.
