If what you’re teaching us is a particular tip/trick - to pull from this video, the final run with a wide-tooth comb to really nail the look - then short form is fine. But for most things, long form (even if the video itself isn’t long) is better. I don’t have the vertical app for a few reasons. The biggest one is that I can’t understand anything with all the double speed, AI voice, music/sound effects, and quick cuts. I rarely watch a YT short because most of those are the vertical app style. Maybe compromise and do long form videos and also make clips of them That should help the need it now people and the slow it down people. I know LC is kicking your butt (same here, so I’m glad you’re posting at all!

I swear, are you psychic! I literally wanted to do a sabrina carpenter look for my husband's birthday and have been looking for a tutorial. And then, on the day of right before I'm about to get ready, you posted this video. I am so grateful! You always come through for me! Thank you for always teaching in way i understand. Also I prefer long form for your hair tutorials. And fav sabrina song is please please please, but I've been listening to juno and bed chem on repeat lately.

I loved loved loved the video.
I think long form is great since you have so much knowledge and tips that actually make a big difference in the outcome of the style.
I believe you could use these little tips also for shorts.
Then again, the long form gives a lot of context on how to prep your hair and when to do thus step.
Example: adding in curls away from the face in this hairstyle.
All in all biiig kudos Kayley and thank you.
A long time fan

Kayley, I am so excited to see an upload from you! I personally prefer long-form content because it allows you as the creator to address topics and tutorials at whatever depth (or breadth) is appropriate. There is so much that gets omitted in short-form content! Plus, I love putting on long-form videos while I am cooking or doing chores for learning/entertainment while I work. Short-form content doesn’t work well for multitasking. Just my two cents!

Hi Kayley! I'm a longtime follower and around the same age as you, so that may bias my opinion, but personally, I loved the length of this video! I really enjoy your tutorial content of this style. If you have stuff that fits naturally into the shorter length form, then go for it, but I'm glad you didn't cut this one down to a minute. Also, I don't use the vertical video app so I would love if you cross-post everything to here

I like a video this length! I like getting all the details, tips, and tricks, and your explanations of why you're doing what you're doing. 15-20 minutes is my current sweet spot for YT videos. Also, the fake bangs look AMAZING! I bought some for my Haloween costume but I've been wearing them a lot because they're just so fun!
Also I caught the VeggieTales reference; )

I love longer content when I'm trying to learn. Someone else in here said it best for inspiration short (not talking about your Christmas hairstlyes- I need step by step for those) but a teaser video showing hairstyles on the vertical videp append then full length here would be good. And omg you didn't just make me have veggie tales flashbacks! Where is my hairbrush

I really like long form hair tutorials. I attribute the shift towards simple hairstyles trending to short form content, which can be good at times but overall is boring. Long form hair content tends to have more information and hairstyles that have personality rather than the same three things over and over again. I loved this video!

Kayley, you look beautiful! I love the color of your hair now. I’m around your age and have been watching you for years. I highly prefer your long form videos to shorts. I get more hearing you talk longer and really demonstrate what you are doing. Plus, I just love hearing your happy self share more about your passion.

I like 15-20 minute videos because I usually watch them when I am eating, so that seems like the perfect time to sit and watch and have breakfast or lunch. I'm a new Sabrina fan too. Hmm, favorite song. hard to pick one. Older stuff: Alien, Sue Me, and Thumbs. Newer stuff: Juno, Skinny Dipping, Nonsense.

Definitely a longer video when it comes to hair bcs the short ones not only are they not explanatory enough but they also most of the time fail to show the back or some side of the hair -- hence me doubting it even works lol. But maybe you can do both since the short content audience is big

For me, when I want to do my hair, I like a short preview and then an in-depth video of how to get that look. I have wavy hair, and finding videos that are on wavy hair is hard, and if there's a possibility to show more videos on wavy hair, I would love it.

IMO, Kayley has one of the prettiest faces, and can pull off a lot of hairstyles. My faves were when she had shorter hair. This look, with the bangs, is the first look I don’t like on herlike, at all. Goes to show what’s trending may not work for you.

I prefer both short and long form. The short form gets my attention and if I want to learn how to really do it, I will watch the full video. Long form usually is for education or on while I am doing something. I love her Grinch song with Lindsey Stirling.

I don’t really consume short form content. But for something like this I definitely think actually showing a how to is helpful. Too many people see a one minute video, can’t recreate it themselves and get discouraged. This had actually useful tips

To answer your question, I love this length of video for hair tutorials. I never feel like I get enough for it to be useful when I search for things on TikTok! Favorite current Sabrina Carpenter song is probably Juno or Please, Please, Please.

This is super niche and no one else is probably asking at this point but can you do a tutorial on how to get Olivia Palermo’s hair back when she was on The City You’re the only person who would be able to explain it so I’d understand

The VeggieTales reference at the end I always sing that song to myself when I'm looking for my hairbrush.
I don't have to patience or time to spend this long on a hairstyle, but I watched to the end! It's fun to see you explain the process.
