well be doing a giraffe print for a cool, simple design. Ive already removed JJs last set of nails and prepped the nail so Im going to apply the form and dehydrate and prime the nail. Im going to sculpt out the nails in acrylic. Whilst Im sculpting the nail, Im going to add the mylar into the nail on the pointer finger and the ring finger. The other 3 nails will be just clear without any mylar. Im then going to file the nails using my normal routine but with a softer nail for JJs delicate skin. Im also going to buff the nails. Im going to top coat all of the nails and then go over with the metallic colour. Avoid the mylar sections of the nail. Use Top Coat on a detail brush to create a smile line and fill in the nail on the ring finger and the pointer finger. Seal the gold on the other three fingers with topcoat. Use Acetone to wipe away any extra metallic polish from the nail. Use Serious Black and a dotting tool to create the giraffe spots. Sprinkle Black Acrylic Powder over the wet gel polish before curing. Do that on all the nails and then wipe over with gel residue wipe off solution. Finish off with cuticle oil

This is GORGEOUS I really like the metallic gold and matte black giraffe print I don't have gold metallic polish, but I do have both fuchsia and purple, so that might look GREAT The only thing now is that I don't have black acrylic powder, but I could do it with black micro glitter, which I DO have. I have a review assignment for Modelones due in 48 hours and I may do something like this for the review. If I do, I'll come back and put in a link.

Gorgeous My sister would love this because she loves animal print she had a giraffe print handbag that was sort of like this except it was brown and white it also had red accents here and there like the lining or zippers cant remember BUT I think if she wanted some bling a few tiny ruby stones here and there accented with black stones or caviar beads on perhaps the solid gold nails would look really killer as well

Great video and lovely design. I have only just recently qualified as a nail tech and my 12 year old Daughter has to do a PowerPoint presentation at school on who inspires her for her future career, so obviously she chose you Kirsty as I have her hooked on your videos too now. x

love the gold. and when you did the black and put the powder on over it. that is so awesome. it really looks real, like fabric. i also think that gold would look amazing with a real true red. put some hot lips on with sparkles. good video of course. kari

I'm confused. You clean the top coat with acetone to remove the gold polish, therefore removing the sticky later from the gel. How is it that you can then paint with gel polish and that back gel doesn't come off? There's no sticky later to grab to.

When I think of giraffes, I think brown. Do you have brown acrylic you could use? I prefer leopard print myself, but I do have a giraffe print dress. What would elephant nails look life? Gray and wrinkly? That doesn't sound pretty.
