I'm back with my personal dermatologist Dr. Julie Russak to continue with our Dear Derm series! In this video I ask her what do I do about pimples and blackheads. - Covey Routine:-https://bit.ly/3q4hiMs - Covey First of All Cleanser:-https://bit.ly/309mS5u - Covey Next Up Vitamin C Serum:- - Covey Last But Not Least Moisturizer:-https://bit.ly/3sMRBSv This is a question we have all probably looked up, asked and talked about! Dr. Russak explains what black heads and pimples are and what to do when we get them! What do you do when you wake up with a pimple? Do you have blackheads? How do you approach skincare? Do you do a lot of research on your own or do you follow a dermatologist? Do you deal with random breakouts with certain foods, environmental factors, hormones or do you deal with acne constantly? Do you get facials? If so, what processes do you do- chemical peels, laser, etc.? How do you educate yourself on skincare? Let me know in the comments below as I am super curious what you're doing and what you're thinking when handling those little monsters that pop up on our faces! Dr. Russak tells us a quick way to make a pimple disappear immediately (OMG, HOW?) and what NOT to do when you wake up with a red spot on your face. She walks us through the phases of a pimple so we really understand it and even explains some of the causes behind them. What products do you use when you have a pimple? Is there a certain process you do to keep blackheads away? Do you use those nose strips? Are you the type of person who picks at their face every morning or do you let things be? What-s the most embarrassing pimple story you have and what did you do? Is it just me and do you freak out if you have a pimple and make a big deal about it, and then when you go out, no one even notices it and it-s all in our head? Dr. Russak gives us tips on when and how to pop a zit, IF you should HAVE to and while she always recommends leaving it alone, her strategy seems best in order to keep the skin from breaking to create any more damage. I loved this episode with Dr. Russak because it was so helpful and I learned a lot about blackheads and pimples. She is always so helpful and fun and this conversation was one of my favorites! I hope you all enjoy this episode and tune in for our next episode of the Dear Derm series! Let me know in the comments below if you find this video helpful and what you learned from it!

Hey,
That makes me want to go see a dermatologist because last month I-ve woken up with my right cheek full of pimples ! And I was Like -
It has never done that to me before, and now it-s been a month and I still have them ! I confess that I touched them one time or two, or even three -
I also wanted to mention that in my country, it-s still confinement time and it-s been almost 1 year that I didn-t do any sports ...
So my question is do pimples appear because of lack of physical activities ?

Oh wow ! I am breaking out on my
chin ... I accidentally fell asleep with my makeup on for the 1st time in a long time but I got up and washed my face as soon as I woke up in the night. I want to pop it but I-m refraining... Thank you for the tips!!!

I actually would buy zinc pills and crush them up, make a paste and put it on my zits for a few hours. It would cut down the inflammation. The reason why people use toothpaste is because it USED TO have zinc and no longer does

Thanks so much! I would love a video about acne scars - how can I help get rid of them, also I would love a video about dealing with maskne, I have to wear a mask all day and my face is covered with pimples

Brilliant! I would love to hear from her about when to start a retinoid, and if it's for everyone. I'm in my 20s, want to start, but am nervous about starting an active! Thank you both for this series!

Thank you, Emily! I have questions for Dr. Russak: how do you get rid of clogged and damaged pores from years of having acne, and what is the best way to treat cystic/hormonal acne?

This is the best and most helpful series I have watched so far. Love it! Would like to know about a recommended simplistic skin care routine for normal to dehydrated skin. -
