The Catrice foundation has made me think of the Armani Maestro Glow, bi-phase elixir and the original Maestro Fusion that I miss soooooo much. And don't get me started on the Face Fabric, also Armani.
Those textures are in the top 10 of the coolest I have ever tried over the course of somewhat 30 years (they all share the number 1 spot for various reasons.
I just don't understand why brands keep discontinuing products when they have reach a shared idea of perfection.
Like. Don't touch it anymore does NOT mean we don't want to touch it anymore, it means:
PLEASE DON'T CHANGE THE FORMULATION AND KEEP IT COMING OfficialLOrealParis!

You could have an archive and keep everything you love in an archive that can be used for future reference and for nostalgia. And you could open up a makeup museum later in life. I think Erin Parsons does that in a certain way. It’s lovely and sentimental to not be having them anymore. I’m finding some of my older makeup is selling on eBay and Mercari for a pretty penny. I know sometimes movies like period pieces in the future will need this stuff for props, and they’ll pay high dollar prices for older vintage designer makeup. Something to consider. Love you, Tati!

I’m still mad about Clinique discontinuing their continuous coverage foundation. It was the only foundation that covered my dark spots and matched my odd colors again I’m not olive, I’m not cool, I may have a yellow undertone, but honey glow was my jam and so many people online miss continuous coverage by Clinique. I wrote letters I tried to buy as many as I could and it’s been a few years now and I’m still mad.

I have been talc-free since 2018 and I am so glad things are getting reformulated personally. Maybe now I can finally shop for the things I watch others use. As to discontinued products, nothing is more heartbreaking than the perfect foundation. Everything else is replaceable, the perfect skin enhancer that doesn’t break out, transfer, crease or cake isn’t. For me that was Peach Perfect by TooFaced

Bite beauty lip products i still have a bunch and they don't smell yet so I'll use them as much as I can til then. My other go to is Urban Decay. And Lorac. so awesome. I bought a backup of one of my faves thank goodness. All 3 brands are so long lasting and the colors were ones I gravitated to. I have yet to find ones I love as much. maybe Huda and Mario They're ok but just don't seem to be as good.

First, you look GORGEOUS!
Thank you for this video, I feel like makeup is a memory box/photo album type thing, too! I recently was de-clutterting and found my 'first interview out of college lipstick' (and got the job) Wedding Day fingernail polish (all separated & dry) but yes to remembering moments with it all!
SUPER EXCITED to hear a new Mineral Powder recommendation for under eyes - GENIUS!

I'm sure talc is bad for you, but so is ammonia but we aren't taking it out of Windex. Because ammonia makes Windex work! If the workers want to be safe whilst making the makeup, wear PPE. Or if you don't want talc, go for the clean makeup. But I don't want my makeup to go bad quicker because the preservatives aren't in there. I paid money for it! And yes, I'll die for wearing bad makeup!

I bought 4 of the Prism Libre right before the reformulation and it should last me AGES! Glad I did. Thank you for doing this. It always seemed to me that as soon as I would find the perfect foundation for me, it would be discontinued. (Charlotte Tilbury's best foundation has been gone a couple of years now and I still miss it, as well as The Healthy Foundation by Physician's Formula) WAAAAAAAAAAAAA

An actual makeup museum would be so fun! Figure out how to preserve items, and have either firsts of products, or ones that created trends, particularly viral moments, or items that were very indicative of time periods. It would be super interesting to walk through time from modern day back as far as we have records of to see how we have changed our appearance and why during different times.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro Sweep & Lock Translucent loose setting powder got discontinued. It had 6 ingredients with talc being the second ingredient. My sensitive has reacted to 3 other setting powders (burning eyes and/reddness. I am not sure what I’m reacting to in them but I’m having a hard time finding anything. First they discontinue the Bambi Eyes mascara and now this.

This was discontinued a long time ago, but I LOVED the L'Oreal Splash Out waterproof mascara. I wore that constantly and it never flaked, smudged, smeared or ran on me and it made my lashes look fabulous. Then suddenly it was gone and I've never found a waterproof mascara that I like nearly as much as that one. (And I never really forgave L'Oreal for discontinuing it)

you might be too young to remember these but my cousin and I were just talking about the trio eyeshadows from Loreal called Shadow Riche. they had a velvety application that slide in underneath the component. those shadows lasted forever on your eyes. hours and hours of dancing the night away in the Miami clubs with the most amazing shadows

So sad for all these brands/products rip to some of my true favorites FYI, last light I may have put on a 5 year old Bite beauty Agave lip mask I found in a random drawer. It still had the iconic smell of the lip mask, so far this morning no cold sore, I knew I wrong for doing it while I was doing it, but I decided to walk on the wild side.

If you’re a plus size girlie like I am, Old Navy does plus size (mainly online) & they do regular, petite, & tall lengths for there dresses, jeans, & leggings. I’m not sure if they do it for tops, jackets, cardigans etc but the tall leggings have been a GAME CHANGER! No more leggings that look like floods on me! So exciting

Hear me out. The L. A. Colors Hydrating Lipsticks from Dollar Tree. Something about the formula just works for me. They're not thick and waxy, they're super soft and buttery, but they don't bleed or settle in my lip lines. No patchiness whatsoever. Pleasant smell but not perfumey. I only wish they came in more colors and finishes.

Meanwhile, so many medicines contain talc and I have reservations about this. I just listened to a podcast last night which discussed the latest research in the talc in cosmetics, especially powder. It's been determined that ALL samples of talc evaluated in the most recent research discussed in the podcast contained asbestos.

I miss the big round shadows it was about 50 shadows at once makeup forever launched a while ago. It was a big display at Sephora, you were able to create your own 3 shadow palette. I still have the ones I created. But the metallics and mattes were so nice. They had colors I hadn’t seen before. Ugh I miss those days

Sephora BA here. Our newest Tarte displays do not have a slot or section for the smoothing primer. I can’t speak for all Sephoras, but my store will not be carrying it anymore. I’m hoping it’s just getting new packaging or something and then maybe maybe maybe be available online at least.

I will never understand why cosmetic companies disc products that everyone loves under the guise of improving the formula when, in my experience, the product is not always better. I just wished they would leave alone what works and what sells and stop trying to fix what's not broken.

I’ve stoped buying talc products for years. I’m glad it being removed. I apply an all mat look and use the milk grip setting spray when gives a nice glow. Talc is so bad breathe in. I do hold my breath using the setting sprays. I don’t want to breathe in the chemicals.
