I know its not really the point of the video, but I do think its kind of strange right after a video about budget cooking to say premixed bag salad is efficient.
I guess it would depend on the person, but for me, a bag like that costs around $2-$3, and it uses like, 5% of a red cabbage, and maybe half a carrot in a bag of greens
A bag of carrots, a red cabbage and a head of lettuce costs $10 in total. Cabbage and Carrots lasts for months in the fridge before they go bad, so the only real pressure is to eat the lettuce before it goes bad.
Ultimately, you do you, but I really don't feel like I'd ever call a bag of premixed salad efficient in any context besides I CBA to take 2 minutes to cut veggies myself.

A cooked chicken and a bag of salad sounds like a meal I would support. In fact, a few days ago I did a spot of shopping once cyclone weather had relaxed (practically everything was shut down while the storm was in the area, and even on Tuesday the bus was on weekend schedule, and I brought home a salad bowl and some sliced silverside, and diceed up the beef and put it in the salad. Good quick meal full of veg.
Also, I agree about rotisserie breast meat. I find it is great to put in soup, with the soup I usually have is a dry packet Thai soup with rice noodles.

That's pretty much whay I do with rotisserie chicken. I live by myself so I eat everything except for the breast and shred it to eat later. I usually mix it with mayon mustard and seasoning to make chicken salad sandwiches.
Prepackages salads and similar stuff have a weird sour after that I really hate, even when I wash them. It might be covered by vinegar, but I don't like vinegar (so I never tried it.
Avocado can have a pretty strong taste. I personally eat them as fruits by scooping them with a spoon (the way you would eat a pudding.

If like me, you never think to make pickled onions before dinner, you can mix vinegar, sugar, salt, and a little bit of water then bring it to a boil, take it off the heat and throw in your sliced onions. The amount it cooks the onions is imperceptible to me and it'll give you good enough pickled onions in 5-10 minutes. A little sprinkle of red pepper flakes or gochugaru makes them even better. They're obviously better the next day but more than good enough in the time it takes to prep everything else for dinner.

You know, I'm 100% all for anything getting their sponsorship money bags. What's annoying to me is that if you go onto Gruns site and just enter your email in (without even clicking the affiliate link from Adam) you get 52% off. It's like the affiliate link doesn't even matter outside of Adam getting a kickback. I feel like it would mean more if Adams actually had the best % off the kickback. Little rant that nobody will care about: P

My go-to sorry it’s dinner is chicken pot pie. Cook some chicken breasts then chop them up and cover in one can of cream of mushroom soup, one can of cream of chicken soup and add a bag of frozen mixed veggies. Get a pie tin and put a premade pie dough sheet down, add the filling and then cover in the second sheet. Throw it in the oven to cook and you’ll have a good meal with surprisingly little effort.

We have rotisserie chicken every so often, but it's just mom and me, so we end up with like 2/3rds of a chicken leftover. Thank goodness for vacuum sealers. Pick apart the chicken, separate it into a couple of vacuum seal bags, freeze, then use later in soup, quesadillas, enchiladas, chicken salad, all sorts of things. Even did the same with leftover turkey from Thanksgiving dinner.

A thing that I think really improves broiler nachos is threading the beans/meat and cheese through multiple layers of chips so the stuff on top gets real crispy and brown and then stuff underneath kind of just melts and stays more moist. Also it's fun to pull chips out of the little pile and see how long it stays intact before starting to collapse.

Lauren and Adam make me feel so seen. We call the dinner where you eat a grocery store rotisserie chicken with your hands barbarian chicken.
Also Adam eating a handful of salad directly out of his hand to check the seasoning really brought me joy. Silverware is for people who want to wash dishes! LIFE IS SHORT EAT SALAD BY THE FISTFUL

I am vicariously enjoying those nachos since I can't eat crunchy foods due to a surgery I had a few weeks ago. You've definitely inspired me to throw together something simple, crunchy, and wonderful once I've recovered!
Cooking can be a whatever sort of a process and you can still make something delicious.

Not to be rude, but there is a 3rd way to eat a rotisserie. And that's in the parking lot of the grocery store with a pack of kings Hawaiian rolls so you don't have to share it with your college roommate. Make sure to leave the trash in the back seat of your car until you visit the next gas station.

I recently picked up a citrus juicer at Internet Shaquille's recommendation and it has changed my life. I hate unitaskers but it's just so good at what it does. It has actually made me get more citrus and incorporate it more. You get so much more juice and it's so much less work.

The costco near me carries the same premade salad mixes. I do the same thing, 1 costco chicken 4 salad mixes is 4 hearty meals. They often have the mexican salad mix near me so I add some hot sauce and frozen corn i just throw in the microwave to have a great easy meal.

7: 02 this makes no sense. would you not bruise the leaves of your salad or smash your protein to bits mixing the whole bowl around trying to emulsify the dressing not to mention would it not be easier to visualise the ratios of oil and acid in a separate vessel

Are you spying on my kitchen We do the salad thing 2-3 times a week. We later make stock out of the carcass, then put the boiled bones in the food processor to make treats for our animals (yes, I know I over boil my carcass, but it tastes good so I don't care)

I'm astonished that even a portion of the general public doesn't have the skill or life experience to dismember an already cooked chicken. Maybe their moms fed them nothing but Lunchables, Taco Bell, and Hot Pockets. This trend is deeply disturbing.

I think of Avocado being more about the creamy buttery texture rather than flavour.
Love this candid, casual approach to dinner.
Lime juice for a quick pickle is a revrelation to me that I will definitely try!
Also Adam, your wife is charming.

Honestly same vegetablechicken base for the salad but instead of oil/mustard put in peanut butter or tahini, some minced ginger and garlic a bit of soy sauce and optionally some chili oil and you've got a different variant.
Do this at home very often.

if I'm making salad dressing, I do like to do it in a separate container because it lets me taste the dressing before I mix it with the greens. I do it in a jar, shake the jar to combine everything, and then toss the jar in the dishwasher.

One of my favorite nachos is if I get bbq I'll make the leftovers into nachos. You can literally throw everything on there. If you have like leftover Mac and cheese, potato salad, cole slaw, etc. Throw all of it on some nachos it's delicious
