Hi Adam, love your videos! This one in particular is certainly intriguing, but I do have a serious concern about it. I'm a conservation biologist and I've spent much of my career thus far trying to control invasive species. I'm still a pretty big advocate for exotic pets, but only under the condition that we are responsible with them and use them for education. I can't help but worry about this video and the impact it might have in the future should your audience decide they don't want to care for their fish anymore and release them into the wild. It would be really nice to see your future videos similar to this one feature a disclaimer about the ecological impacts of irresponsible exotic pet ownership, or even better, an amendment to this video. Keep up the great work!

I'd like to see the Aquarium video. That being said, I (and everyone else currently commenting) are in the small minority of watched-to-the-end and engaged-enough-to-comment subsection of your audience. That's not a representative sample, even before you consider the selection bias of the psychological barrier of actively commenting I won't watch that.
So, I'd say try it, see how it goes, and try to gauge the relationship between the numbers it gets and our comments, so you'll have a better tool for estimating engagement in the future!

Adam, I'm probably coming far too late for you to read this comment, but I've been loving the greenhouse fish video. Absolutely good vibes videos recently and I hope your plug at the end about making a video about the build of the 2 tier video is just a prelude for a future video exploring your wonderful new fish tanks construction! I simply cannot wait!

I m thinking about having a large tank with maybe a third or a quarter of it be thick mangrove roots and the rest open water and have both rice fish and blue gill living together. The mangroves provide cover from the blue gills but they still might venture out once in a while and get eaten

Adam, I'd love to see your aquarium build! I used to build aquarium tanks for state aquariums and it was nasty work. Fiberglass, two-part epoxies, concrete, and the like. What you've got there looks a lot healthier for the fish. I think it'd make a really neat video!

As soon as I saw rice next to tiny fish, my immediate thought was filipino food.
This is a regular thing for their breakfast.
Fry up hundreds, then add in Apple Cider/White Vinegar and you got a good snack.
Not Medaka, but tiny fish more or less.

Yes Adam, I obviously want to see that. I watched your Metallica video and learned a lot from that, for christ's sake! But if you want to optimize it's performance (at least with me) wait till you got those mangroves on top because mangroves are awesome!

I feel slightly scammed by the video, I was hoping to get a talk on perfect fish to have rice as a side dish.
But I am not unhappy, this was a great video regardless and interesting take on these fish. that seems to like neglected waters.

I enjoyed watching this video, but I was expecting to learn about the perfect fish to have with rice, as in what fish pairs well and is good to eat with rice. So I clicked on this with a different expectation.

So. when you were choosing the stock footage for rice cultivation in East Asia why did you chose a bunch of black African women? Are there literally zero free footage samples of Asians? Dude.

Yes please to any and all aquarium build vids! Also any resources for starting a little classic medaka plant/pot? seems like a great low maintenance option for my small studio apartment!

Something about this video really reminded me of Alton Brown. Maybe it's the way he articulated ricefish vs rice-fish. Either way I would absolutely LOVE to see that build video

Add that build video.
Not just that, but if you ever do an update on your garden, or just any other kind of craftiness I'd be interested.

For me, there s a lot of overlap between cooking and building things so I think it would be pretty cool to see your fish tank build.
