I'm coming to you since -no one else- seems to have the answer, and I've learned to depend on you. If you have NO fresh fruit, and you're trying to fake a cobbler with canned fruit (like apricots; peaches with muscles, in my book) how to you thicken up the juice to add to the fruit? I love the -taste- I'm getting, but I'm tired of being asked to make -apricots and dumpings, - or -apricot soup. - Any notions? -
Thanks, -
Vickie-
PS-
I'm from Oklahoma; grew up with Mom's sausage gravy, so thanks!

Great recipe, as always. I've bookmarked and will make soon. Just bought a bunch of peaches here in Dallas (just a short hop up I-35 from your Austin.
I noted you left the skins on, so I'll try that. I've always peeled the fruit.
How well will this recipe work for non-pitted fruit, such as apples? What adjustments to the recipe are needed?
I just saw your opening episode for season 4. Your on-camera technique and persona have matured very well from season 1. Keep up the good work.

This looks really good, but technically, it is not a cobbler, it is a clafouti. Clafouti is a french dessert that you just made. when the batter cooks up through the fruit and makes more of a cake like dessert. A cobbler or a buckle has the biscuity type of topping that you dislike and a crisp is traditionally topped with a brown sugar and oat/nut topping. Everyone has something different, that is why its fun to share! Thanks for sharing, Noreen.

After watching this video, I ran downstairs to the kitchen and made this recipe. I halved it since I'm the only one in my home who likes peaches. (Go figure. The smell while baking was insane! This makes the moistest cobbler ever! This was the first cobbler recipe I've made that didn't have an egg in it. But I didn't miss it at all. Really delicious. will definitely be making this over and over again! Thanks again Hilah!

Nicely done, I may try this but bake it on my Pellet grill. May sound weird but have you ever had wood fire cooked pizza? Wood fire baked foods are amazing as it adds another dimension to the flavor spectrum. I did apple turnovers and they were amazing. This recipe should be the same. :-) Again, great job and thanks for the tip!

Hmm peach cobbler has always been one of those complex snack to me. I love it right from the oven, because once it turn like 8 hours old I seems like the peaches get to soft or somethin. so i started putting Ice Cream on mine, but the last time i had cobbler was over 15 years ago

What a fairly easy recipe for a delicous result. I'm not really a big dessert person but this I'd like to try, looks refreshing with a little sweetness from the sugar and very moist. Great episode Hilah and may I say you're looking quite lovely in your pok-a-dot dress.

I made a cobbler as a desert after a barbecue once. One of the girls (now my girlfriend) liked it a lot, a few days later she called and asked me if she could come over so I could teach her how to make it. We ended up burning it because we were otherwise occupied.

Ugh, that looks soooo good. I love anything peach. Apple seems like it would be good with this recipe too.
By the way, I don't know if anyone's told you this, but you'd make an awesome host for a kid's show. Hope that's a compliment?
