Make flan with this easy cream cheese flan recipe! Flan (or Creme Caramel) is one of my favorite Mexican desserts, it's easier than it seems and everyone loves it!

Just FYI, you can actually let them cool on the counter before placing them in the fridge over night. When inverted, the caramel sauce is still liquid. It cooked with the moisture of the custard mix to create a sauce and doesn't re-harden when cold. Also, when making caramel, never stir it. Swirl it until it just hits an amber color. I think you could have gone a tad darker but I'm sure it still tasted fantastic. Adding grand marnier, orange zest, vanilla bean and nutmeg goes great also.

Have you ever tried to steam your flan? That's what I do to mine, so there aren't the burnt-looking edges like it has out of the oven, and the flan is soft and flan-y all throughout!

under the video it has an about section and itll say -show more- and the space will expand and thats the description box, idk if its on phones though so use a computer

I recently made the caramel by making it in the microwave for 7 minutes. 1 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of water.
Also, some people add condensed milk instead of plain sugar.

Hi, when you add cream cheese it is called Cheesecake Flan, with out the cream cheese is Flan or Custard Dessert, cause my mom do dessert and I learn from her, nice recipe: )

You're not supposed to stir the sugar while it's caramelizing, nor did you cook it nearly long enough. It's supposed to become a deep brown, not an amber color.

Im not a scientist. But you would save so much time if u just add water into your sugar while making caramel, and the number one rule is to swirl the pan, not stir.

Can you substitute the evaporated milk? Cause I really want to make this tonight, but I don't have any evaporated milk available D:

Hilah, you look like my cousin. Which is weird because my cousin's Chinese. O. o.
Anyway, great recipe! I'm going to try it: 3
