vavy pumpkins hold way more seeds than big pumpkins, and I think you can use them for pie as well. the haunt I worked at last year gave them out at the end of it, so I took as many of the bigger ones home as I could, and they were just loaded with seeds. maybe this year I'll get a pumpkin patch in my back yard from throwing them in the woods.

I grew up with pumpkin seeds being at least a fall time snack. Once they were commercially available in some c-stores, I'd occasionally get some on road during a fuel & snack stop and I was surprised with how many people I worked with had never had any or even in some cases heard of pumpkin seeds as a great snack.

Actually, it is safer to use a serrated knife to cut a pumpkin. I don't know if she was simply setting up her gag w/ the finger or what, but in case someone takes her seriously. A large chopping knife like this is the worst for this job. Use an ordinary small steak knife.

Jeeze watching you with that huge knife was slightly uncomfortable. isnt there a safer way to do that. maybe a tiny knife or one of those mini saw blades u get on pen knives. hell i had visions of you slicing a finger off or worse. women in the kitchen. you got to love em.

You forgot to mention what the best temp is to bake the seeds at and for how long? I work with someone that carved pumpkins with his daughters over the weekend and didn't save the seeds. I'm looking forward to your input.
