Spaghetti all'Assassina (Assassin s Spaghetti)

The name of this delicious pasta translates to Assassin s Spaghetti, which comes from the recipe s spicy heat and intense flavors. Yes, that s our story, and we re sticking to it. Johnathan: The name assassina, which means killer, refers not to the felony, but rather the risottatura cooking technique that cooks pasta like risotto. Instead of boiling the spaghetti, it's cooked directly in the pan by consistently adding water to it each time the pasta absorbs it.

Having had the joy of living in ITALY for two years. Your remark about Soaks and Sandals really hit the FUNNY BONE. It's not just a male thing over there. Although the ladies go for a little lace or bright colors on theirs.
It's been almost 28 years when I lived there almost forgot about this version of Spaghetti. My Husbands Favorite was SPAGHETTI VONGOLI.
or Spaghetti with Mussels and Garlic.
DAMN I miss those days. The people as Warm and Friendly as the climet and the food. Well FROM THIS recipe. You've Nailed it.
THANKS

This dish is what happens when you give people who have never eaten pasta, don't know what it is or how it should be cooked, 1 lb. of pasta, some pepperoncino, tomato sauce and a frying pan. yuck. pasta all assassina? Yes please, Kill Me Now!

Looks like a real flavor bomb. My wife will likely steer clear because of the pepper flakes so I ll make it for myself and add some shrimp to make a sort of fra diavolo. Mouth is watering just thinking about it. Great recipe and demo as always

I love the bizarre cultural rules over foods based on nothing. Never break the spaghetti! Oh, and who decided how long spaghetti should be again? 100 years ago they hung around 2M lengths over rods to dry, so uh. Gonna need a big ol pan!

Chef, for someone (not myself) who is not a huge fan of the heat, would a splash of cream added to the dish, stirred in before plating enhance this dish is any way, or is that sort of suggestion that can get you assassinated?

Keep in mind: this is akin to the Nashville hot chicken. A woman was mad at her husband and made the stuff HOT. That's how it is supposed to be. HOT. Its not some of my whop countrymen getting some warm food.

Ive been cooking my leftover pasta crispy with oil and hot pepper for as long as I can remember. This just skips the initial meal entirely. And oh yeah I see that bottle of Cento pasata CJ love the stuff!

2: 56 wait, what's wrong with ketchup on a hot dog? Two things that always need ketchup for it to reach its ultimate flavored potential are hot dogs and French toast. You Americans are so uncivilized.

Love it, I'm going to do it, but I'm waiting for the Italians to come and start saying the usual stuff about why you're killing the traditional Italian way of doing stuff. I want to be entertained.

I was just thinking about what to make for dinner tonight but I still need to go to the store. Good thing I have all these ingredients! Assassin Pasta tonight and grocery shopping tomorrow!

With most Italian recipes, get it wrong and you risk seriously offending your Italian guests.
If you screw this one up, don't be surprised if you get a horse's head in the mail.

Hey, ketchup absolutely tastes fantastic on a hotdog! That's not an American thing, that's a Chicago and NY thing. The rest of us know they just have their noses in the air.

Charred tomatoes are used in mexican cuisine for sauces, this just reminds me of that cause I cant recall a lot of dishes that use that technique specifically with tomatoes
