Watching and timing with my timer. I am 1 sec behind so that's ok. 1st clock review- Their clock says 8: 48 left and mine says 7: 35 left. How's that when I was 1 sec behind? Second time check- Their clock says 7: 07 left and my timer says 5: 54 left. Continuing to time. Third time check- oddly we are now back to the way it was. I am 1 sec behind. Me 3: 33 and them 3: 32. 4th time check- 2min left me1: 45 their time left5th time check- 1: 26 left me1: 03 min left themHe is now done. Their timer 0 my timer 35 sec left. Guess it was less than 10 min I still do not understand how way off both timers were and then BAM the same to 35 sec to 0 left.

I love how you do all that Ramsay, but normal people wouldn't be able to do it that quickly, they likely would need about five more minutes at least, since not everyone has the right gear and can't chop as quickly. Also, I always wondered why no one puts a time for the prep work, as those ingredients don't normally lay about like that from the start.

Did anyone notice at 3: 04 it said 8: 41 left. which means that he started only 1 minute and 20 seconds earlier, but the actual timer started around 0: 35 which means 2 minutes and essentially 30 seconds had past. (its still in 10 minutes, but the guy who is telling him the time, and editing this doesnt know how to read a clock)

Wait, what? The pasta cooks faster when there's less water in the pot? I know that the larger the quantity of water there is, the longer it takes for it to heat up. But once it reaches the boiling point, the cooking time for the pasta should be the same regardless of the quantity of the water inside the pot.

Bunch of haters here. When he says tablespoons and teaspoons and then does double it's okay. Cooking recipes are a guideline. If you were to do that in baking then it wouldn't come out like you wanted. You'll all here because you wanted to learn and then you hate on him for being the best.

I find it interesting that he oils the water and also oils the noodles after they cooked. Oiling noodles before putting into the sauce prevents the sauce from absorbing into the noodles because the olive oil has already absorbed. I'd rather have the sauce get absorbed than just regular olive oil.
reply

Why is he putting oil in his pasta water? and then oil over his done noodles? The sauce isn't going to get thick or stick to the noodles. its just going to slop all over the place. Literally cooking olive oil with a side of scampi
reply

i wonder if he understands that part of cooking is prep and cleanupi don't have a tablespoon of anything sitting out and waitingi'm not going to dirty 15 things because i have to wash those 15 things afterwards
reply

Cooks it in 10 minutes, doesnt talk about driving to the supermarket to buy all the stuff, drive back home, set everything up, 2 hours later hes cooks it in 10 minutes and spends another 30 minutes to clean up
reply

Is it just me or are scampi supposed to be battered/breaded? I clicked in the hope of making a better version of those frozen birdseye ones and discovered a dish that looks completely unappetising to me.
