Truth is, I don't even know why I clicked. I usually eat my steak literally raw at home, and I order it as close to raw as legally possible when going to steakhouses. Actually, I believe I might have clicked simply because I wanted to admire my birthday twinsy having fun in the kitchen.

Tip #1 has actually been proven unnecessary. Taking the steak out of the fridge for that amount of time has minimal effect on its temperature (surface & internal, so the outcome is also essentially the same (except that one takes 10 mins more)

Gordon when he tastes his own food: It is delicious, perfectly cooked. If Gordon tastes his own food but is told that it is somebody else's: It is disgusting, raw, you are an idiot sandwich

When slicing a steak which has the muscle fibers running parallel to cutting surface, cut perpendicular to the direction of the meat fibers and the steak will be much more tender.
