Can appreciate this well cooked meal. but it comes with a lack of understanding in the presence of the locals. This is not a call to arms but a call to a lost art of understanding local cooking and art. Why place yourself at the top in these cousines when so many locals can represent these flavors on the regular Not to class you against other famous cooks and world cuisine travelers, but Bourdain had supplemented this so well, this seems more of a homemade variety versus the real thing. Represent the local hospitality and less of your flamboyant ego cockery and I think you have a shot to continue on. Do love your work. just not this.

sad, a Po Boy was not a lavishly stuffed sandwich. it was a cheap sandwich that poor workers would buy for their lunch, it might have had a thin slice of meat maybe a slice of cheese and some mayo on it. I don't know where y'all get this shit from where it's some kind of exotic meal that was anything like this. Just like all the idiots that think just because you sprinkle cajun seasoning makes your meal cajun. Might was well say if you sprinkle sriracha on something it makes it a Thai dish.

Hey Gordonnnnn. You're in the South. You legitimately did it wrong. Why didn't you go somewhere random like Italy to do this I hear they like lime lol. (I hate sounding like a hater too) but it bugs the living shit out of me when cooks are like ok I'm going to be doing this style and they completely do it wrong from that style. It makes no sense. Like. why didn't you just do this in your kitchen. Southern food is almost a religion. You're going to their home to do it wrong

One of Gordon’s traits you’ll find is simplicity of identifiable ingredients. Seven or eight at most. His best dishes are very doable. He has an open faced mackerel sandwich that’s to die for with a potato salad. Again simple. He’ll his broccoli soup is just broccoli salt and water. It’s amazingly simple but thoughtful and divine in execution. I highly recommend trying cooking a handful of his simple yet stunning items

Creative. but no, Chef. This isn’t touching our New Orleans shrimp Poboys at all. People try to put different spins on it all the time but the real greatness is the simplicity of the dish with the biggest variable being the type and quality of French bread used. This particular recipe here takes all of the po out of the poboy should be called an Uptown Artesian Lime Shrimp sandwich or something

Most people have no idea that a ripe lime is NOT that deep green color you get at the superstore. They get yellow-ish as they ripen, and those brown keys are like a brown banana-- just past ripe with a completely different taste than you get from from a store key thats green and feels like a golf ball and is so tart and sour it makes your eyes water.

Thank you for these beautiful contents and your consistency, they inspired me to own a restaurant today!
Retirement took a toll on my finance, but my involvement in digital marketing really changed the game for me, earning $17K
weekly has been really helpful as I have been able to clear my mortgage 7 months ago and I own few restaurants.

I like a bit of lime but this is too much for my taste. Marinade with lime, add fresh lime baste, then cooked lime baste, then drizzle with more lime when plating, then add more zest, then more lime on the slaw. Might as well just dunk the whole sandwich in lime juice in the end

Chef Ramsay may be a Michelin Star Chef and has over 20 successful restaurants, but he sure knows how to fck up a grilled cheese (at least twice on video--a damn 4 year old can make one of those) and now has sent a Po Boy to Davy Jones's Locker. My it rest in peace.

You make cutting the bread like it's something special. you chefs really think you are something else. it's cooking. and your shrimp looks really bad. you need to learn how to grill shrimp. LOUISIANA style.

bro split the roll fully in half and then grilled it blasphemy. you gotta keep that roll connected so you can nestle those ingredients into it and also not have the whole thing fall apart on your first bite.

Why is he in the freaking water This video is like if you asked an AI to make a Gordon Ramsay cooking video, and you're like, Gah, crap, he's in ankle-high water for some reason. Let's start again.

Papaya in the slaw, salted rum cooked into the onions, mayo caramelized into the buns, grilled limes juiced and zest over the whole sandwich. Gordon is a mad man, and im here for it.

He kept saying key lime, but made no mention if the limes were actually grow in the keys.
He said the tomatoes were grown in the keys, but didn't call them key tomatoes.
