Why is this edited like an advert for trainers? It didn't even say what ratio to have on Eggs: Milk: Flour. I was taught to use 1: 1: 1. So for something like 20 Yorkies can be made from 1 Pint of each (that's right, 1 pint of Egg Yolks is the trick, though you can probably make it a smaller pint than the rest as it can end up tasting too 'eggy')

gosh. just like my Nan used to make. she always talked about raising the heat in the oven, heating the fats (oil, she used a thumb nail blob of beef fat) then pouring the Yorkies in some that they bubble. No opening the door! Absolutely lovely.

Usually come here for the recipes, methodologies, and personalities. The overly artsy production on this was just way too much. Adding a few art shots to the beginning/end of the usual video format would be a better compliment.

when every i make this mine ends up oily at the base of the york. makes it inedible for me. what am i doing wrong? it comes out looking amazing. and the top is nice and til the center. then bam the bottom is plush and soaking out oil.

yeah yeah sponsor vid yeah yeah sellout yeah yeah. a) i like the style of it, its great foodporn b) you didnt shove BUY THE OVEN into our faces but did include a few oven extra mentions. i can respect that. nice vid, guys.

This is a really great and helpful video for making these wonderful things. One question I have tho. does the oil spill and spit all over the bottom of the oven. and does the oil get absorbed when it's finished baking?

Really appreciate the time lapse. Brilliant, thanks. But sadly, as with so many clips like this, the amounts are withheld from the viewer. Why? Did it not occur to the makers. So that's why this is a flawed masterpiece x

Looks to be about one egg, one cup flour and one cup milk (same as pancake recipe) - if the batter is a little thick, add more milk. Double all amounts if making larger quantities. Simple really.

i made this and it taste good i really like it because it have really minimum ingredients. but i put to much oil lol. thank you umm can i put vanila extract in it i didnt put it earlier lol
reply

I don't know about those ingredients. I use eggs from cage-imprisoned chickens, milk from factory-raised cows, and I put real beef tallow drippings in the bottom of my tins. Heh.
