The way she cooks this is similar to my vegetarian nachos recipe. The main differences being -- I put in mushrooms + grated carrot, more garlic and I add paprika, cumin, oregano (or you could just buy Mexican chill powder. I also add more sweetness, usually a big squeeze of tomato sauce for zing, then mash the beans. But it's a very simple recipe for nachos that is GREAT.

Fantastic! I've been looking for ways to cook and eat beans without the usual cumin-coriander combo which seems to populate a majority of recipes that use beans, and this might just be the ticket! Plus, the hubby loves baked beans, so at the very least I will have someone to eat it with me. thanks for this lovely recipe, Katie!

ok Katie has just become my favourite food tuber! Firstly this recipe is vegan so thank you! secondly I'm obsessed with baked beans so this is an amazing alternative and thirdly she is so descriptive and clear and passionate about the cooking that makes me want to make it straight away! thanks for sharing this video with us!

Lovely Katie! I had to modify, imagine no pepper or garlic in the house - that's why I'm making beans! Anyhow, the kids enjoyed watching the pretty lady with an accent so hopefully they like the idea of me serving it up to them in 10 min. Very grateful for your upbeat presentation and inspiration for our din din!

Great recipe, I also love the fact that Katie is commenting herself on the comments: ) By the way, beans on toast, is it like a thing English people eat normally? I live in The Netherlands and haven't heard of it to be honest. Gotta give this a try though!

hmm I really should try this out looks great and there has to be a reason you guys love this stuff so much: D and not a romantic food, not just because of the garlic xD if your have bad luck the beans unleash the hurricane xD once again your amazing; )

I gave it a go. Very delicious! Fun to make as well. I assume you did not drain the tomatoes? Our did you, the video doesn't specify. I did not and was still delicious but thought it would be thicker than out turned out. Thanks again for your videos!

this chick is awesome! the entire reason I watch youtube videos on cooking is so I can learn to make food that is cheap, delicious, and healthy(as opposed to store bought food. this is one of the best I've seen!
