I am Moroccan! The Recipe looks DEFINITELY gooooood But I am surprised I've never tasted it in Morocco! So, thank you for reinventing a moroccan version of it! Will try it on Friday (usually that's the day people have HOT couscous dish in my country- I guess this time they'll have a cold version)

couscous is really boring, this was really, truly a breath of fresh air to make it come to life. I would usually boil the water with chopped up onions, garlic, green seasonings, just to add flavour to the couscous, so I'll try these other ingredients and more too.

at the start, the first video I watched, I was skeptical of don dj, kinda (naively) assumed he'd be cooking basic american style processed nonsense, man was I wrong. What a bellend I am. Tried tonnes of his recipes and they're all quality. Top man. Legend

As a Moroccan I love the prawn, but the non steamed couscous is an insult. The OG Moroccan couscous is steamed and extremely fluffy. Soaked couscous doesn't has that nutty flavor the it deserves. Soaked couscous just tastes like raw dough

I live in Morocco and saffron's not that expensive, what makes it look that way is because it's very light. it's cost here is about 3 dollars a gram. that pinch he picked up is probably less than 0. 2 grams.

You are the king of hand motions! This video was great and thank you so much for this awesome recipe! Shrimp are one of my favorite things so this is going on my list of things to make!

WHERE is DJ BBQ from? I always thought he is from the USA, because he doesn't have a very births accent, but at 8: 20 he doesn't know how the veg is called in america. wut

Moroccans don't eat prawns, they're haraam. And couscous should just be steamed, and served plain. You can't just pick a a country for a dish and have zero authenticity.

Not everyone produces the funny smell after eating asparagus and not everyone can smell it. So using it to determine whether you have a failing kidney, is not a good idea.

Look delicious! Dj bbq is the man. Could use some work on the knife skills though lol. I've tried fennel a few times but I just don't like the black liquorish taste.
