We've launched a new channel, Food Tube Brasil, whooooo! And to kick it all off, Jamie has invited one of his oldest friends, Santos, to show us the beautiful and classic Brasilian dish - Moqueca. A delicious light fish stew, packed with a medley of fish, layered onions, chillies and peppers and coconut milk. This is the perfect dish for an early evening party before the dancing begins Food Tube Brasil

Jamie, I can't even express my hapiness right now, I'm almost crying! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that you were making brazilian food. This is AWESOME! I'm brazilian and I absolutely LOVE you guys, I could never imagine that one day you guys would acknowledge the existence of our country and our food, lol. Kisses, hugs and lots and lots of moquecas from Brazil.

its nice and refreshing to see food tubers cook with their foreign friends and not just english dishes over and over again. Santos talking in his native language was fine with me reading the subs and I enjoyed it more strangely. Definitely attracts non English speaking viewers. Keep it up!

Favourite Brazilian fish dish! So glad Santos has helped Jamie make this dish so accessible and easy! In Sao Paulo, I tend to use 'Meca' fish that stays firm as I find Cacao tasteless (sem sabor! Would like to know what other fish one could use for Moqueca? Obrigada! Beijos. Laetitia (a Gringa!

If you look at all those colors, all those textures, the fish, the vegetables, the spices, and you don't get AMPED UP, there's something really wrong with you. You're doing God's work Mr. Oliver, bless you and the rest of the FoodTube Family

there are so many versions of moqueca. But in all of then there is an ingredient that is a must. A Moqueca without the azeite de dende (some kind of oil) isnt a moqueca, for sure. But Im sure that this dish is delicious, as always

Guys I made this using fresh fish from Swansea market(Wales) and it was amazing, I have been making different fish meals from around the world and must say that this is a favourite. One variation served it with lemon rice.

This is not really a moqueca! Coming from the State where the moqueca was created, Bahia, you should have stated this is an ensopado, which is the name for the version without dende oil.
