Hi Maangchi! I used to make your Jigae recipe that listed tuna as a substitute on your website. My whole family loved it but I'm not able to find it anymore! Can I use ssamjang instead of the hot pepper paste? As i already have the premade kind (in the same kind of tub as the red pepper paste but the tub is green instead of red) Also, I don't know if my fiance will eat it if it has tofu in it, can I leave it out?

i love the way she handles the knife, although I was a bit scared she would cut herself! Shall try this recipe out now! Have to substitute chicken for the pork belly though just 'coz I've got too much chicken.

I am so happy I found this! I just moved back to Toronto after living in Korea for the past year. Kimchi Chigae was my favourite dish and I can't wait to try and make it for my family! Wish me luck

Is sugar a mandatory ingredient for this dish? Will it still taste good without sugar? Or is there an alternative I can use instead of sugar? I am on a strict no sugar diet.
