The recipe: Tanya's YouTube channel: Ingredients: (for 2 servings) 9 ounces (250 grams) of squid cleaned and cut into 3 inch x inch strips 9 ounces (250 grams) of radish sliced thinly into bite-sized pieces half a medium onion, sliced ( cup worth) 3 stalks of green onions, cut into 2 inch long pieces cup worth of leeks, cut into 2 inch long pieces (you can replace this with 2 green onions) 2 cloves of minced garlic 2 tbs hot pepper flakes 2 tbs soy sauce 1 tbs fish sauce Directions: (cooking time: 40 minutes) Place all ingredients into a pot and mix well with a spoon until well incorporated. Add 3 cups of water and bring to a boil over high heat for 15 minutes. Turn down the heat over medium heat and cook another 25 minutes until the radish is cooked. The radish will look a little translucent when it's cooked well. Serve hot with rice and more side dishes.

Hi i already made few of your recipes and they are great, i love spicy soup and i'm very far from any asian restaurant now, so i learn from your recipes, this one is cooking right now with the squid i fish last night; D
There is something i didn't understood in the video, are you talking about rice soup at the end? Do you add rice in it before you serve or something?

I remember my grandmother, who was from Hong Kong, would tell me to put the rice in the soup & I loved it! My grandfather did all the cooking though! He made the barley & bean curd soup and called it 'Juk, but I guess he meant 'Guk. My grandparents were 1st generation immigrants from China.

wow, you are making this soup with the squid you caught. Awesome! Yes, you will enjoy this soup with rice. You can serve the soup and rice separately, too. I usually put my rice into the soup and eat it together.

Is this soup safe to freeze afterwords? I have got one squid left and think it will be fun to try this recipe out and usually cook things in batches for myself to eat as a student!
