This is an easy version of Korean-style braised beef short ribs (galbijjim) that I developed thats simpler and quicker to make than the traditional way. Its still very juicy, tender, and sweet!

Hi Maanchi. I love all your videos. Even this one. I was wondering if you know how to make Spicy Galbi jjim? There is a restaurant near me that makes it and I really enjoyed it. I was wondering if you can teach me how to make Spicy Galbi jjim please. Thank you. I hope you make this video soon. Can't wait to make it. THANK YOU!

Hi Maangchi,
I am your recent viewer. I tried this braised short ribs today. It came out delicious. I also tried your braised potato side dish and Korean fried chicken. Wow! Everything was amazing. Got lot of compliments from my husband! You are great cook and at the same time a good teacher Maangchi.

Maangchi, I had to comment again. I wish I could kiss you.
The meat turned out amazing this time around. I used Bosch pear this time instead of the Korean pear and cooked the puree down to a glaze. OMG. I wish I made more.
Me and my husband can eat.

I made this earlier for mother's day and it was sooo good. I did not put in some sesame oil by the way coz I don't have it but it still tastes sooo good. I also added some chilis to make it a lil bit spicy. Thank you!

I just made these and they are delicious! I follow a paleo diet so I substituted the soy sauce for coconut aminos and the brown sugar for coconut sugar. Served over a bed of cauliflower rice. YUM!
