How to make spicy Korean dipping sauce 100g Gochujang (fermented chili paste) 26g sugar 20g soy sauce 20g Sake 20g sesame seed oil 8g minced Garlic 30g apple juice 6g sesame seeds fattymoko: Your recipe should read, Korean inspired dipping sauce because this is in no way an authentic recipe. Apple juice, sake, soy sauce and garlic? My halmonim is turning in her grave. And for those hoping for the spicy ramen sauce, no this isn't it. It's spicy but not hot and firey. It's a sweet/salty/sour dipping sauce for mahndu dumplings, and meat, fish or vegetable fritters. It is also used as a base for bibinpahb, the mixed rice dish or bebinkooksoo, the mixed noodle dish. You can also use it as a base for a dok stew, a rice stick or fishcake stew. You can, I suppose put it on anything and everything as he says, but you can also put ketchup on anything and everything too. That doesn't mean it's to be done.

Generally, I don't like seeing the Pouring stuff onto the camera, and I'm glad you don't do it often, but the first time you did it with the sugar, I chuckled. second time, I couldn't help but think, what a waste of sesame oil. Have you considered other ways to incorporate molecular gastronomy into sushi? (I ask, because it's youtube is showing me your mojito video in the up next list) Maybe soy sauce roe? maybe make a roe out of this sauce for a topping for something? (might have to skip the sesame seeds for that though) keep the cool foods coming! Love watching these videos for great new ideas!

Hi I am korean. All is good but one ingredient. Sake is japanese. Not korean. why does he use sake in korean recipe! That is No No! Alcohol is an option not a must. Besides, if we An want to add alcohol, we Koreans have Soju. Tell people to add Korean Soju in korean recipe, not japanese sake!

Hi there, I like your videos, I'm going to try that sauce, but do you know around how long can I keep it in the frigde if I put it in a jar? Also I live in France and we use grams here, but I am wondering why do you use grams instead of milliliter for liquids? you weigh liquids? Cheers.

Substitute sugar with brown sugar for an overall flavor. Plus my step Mom would use Korean rice cooking wine instead of sake, sometimes soju and the final thing you could try is apple vinegar (aged if possible. It's a great taste sensation. Cheers & have a champion day.

The Korean spicy paste calls Go Chu Jang Go Chu -> Chilli, Jang -> Paste in korean It was nice to try to pronounce it though Korean pronouncation is difficult for foreigners: D Thanks for your video all the time.

Korean speaker here, the goh-chu-huan or chilli paste. You're pronouncing it with a Chinese-esque accent. It's a lot more simple than you think. it's more like gohchujang. Important to pronounce as a single word.

Hi! I'm a newbie of cooking and really excited to try this! But can you tell me how many garlic is 8g? And can i put something instead of sake(since my religion doesn't allow that: ) ) Thank you so much!

can you substitute sake with something else? I have tried the whole recipe and it is amazing but I thought maybe it's best to substitute sake with something else for some people who don't want that
