INGREDIENTS 16. 5 oz (468 g) Boxed cake mix 8 fl oz (236. 5 ml) whole milk 1 stick of unsalted butter (113. 5 g) 5 egg whites (if using other cake mixes use full eggs) For baking instructions follow the instructions on box mix

I think I'll do this with German chocolate cake and make my own coconut pecan frosting with walnuts. I use extra coconut to make it look and taste better. It's one of my specialties. This is a great hack. I need to use up a few eggs and this will do the trick. I absolutely hate canned frosting. I know kids don't care as long as it's sweet. Thanks for the hack. I don't turn my 9x13 cakes out. I just leave them in the pan. If I take them elsewhere I just bake them in a disposable aluminum pan with a lid. Then I can just leave the leftovers.

I ve actually been cooking my cakes on abt 330 degrees lately, and I think they come out so much better. I also like to rotate the pan halfway through to keep cooking as even as possible.

Question. do you not need to oil and flour the baking dish or cake pans? I ve never baked a cake without doing both. Just curious and if I don t need to flour that would be great

What size pan did you use. do you use the reccomended size on the box? Dou find that glass pans or metal pans work better for cakes as far as release and baking
