Lots of cultures have flat breads. My aunt married into a Lebanese family. They have a flat bread they make for just about every meal. It's much larger than most flour tortillas though. The grandmother of the family always cooked her flat bread on a wood burning stove in the basement. If us kids came up to her with puppy dog eyes, she would butter a flat bread, roll it up, give one to each of us & shoo us out of her kitchen. That buttered flat bread was warm & chewy & wonderful! Great memories!

From the first time I ever seen you make tortillas I have been enamored with them. You were the FIRST person to ever answer me IN PERSON and I felt like a star, or rather that a star was talking to ME of all people.

I grew up with my mom making flour tortillas everyday. She use to make little ones and let me and my little sister roll out our own. They were all crooked but they tasted good. We even had our own little rolling pin. Thank you for this video and the memories. I'm going to make these tortillas for sure.

My mama used to make these. With 7 children, we'd a make a line to get them hot off the grill.
She would get frustrated because she wanted us to wait until she had a stack going. Nope. We wanted the butter stick to magically melt on it.
Yup. These are memories.

This has been a favorite snack of mine since I was little, I loveeeeee flour tortillas with melted butter. In my elementary school we had to do projects and mine was to churn butter with an old fashion butter churned and I served it on tortillas for everyone in the class lol

Can you make the half flour half corn tortillas like taco bell uses for the mexican pizza? All the copy cat recipes use flour or corn but it's not corn at all, taco bell says its a mix. You should do a copycat recipe for it

I made butter like this every year with my PreK class when we did a farm unit. We would have butter and crackers for snack that day. They always loved it.
