Hi Mark.
Just wanted to thank you for all your videos!
We are big fans of yours.
You inspired us to stay at hotel Sofitel Nusa Dua which has now become a fixed address during holidays in Bali, where we enjoy not only the most mind blowing breakfast buffet we have EVER seen, but also staying in a one bedroom private pool villa.
On our 3rd visit to Bangkok, as a part of our honeymoon before an unforgettable stay at SONEVA KIRI Koh kood, we visited your restaurant Phed Mark in Bangkok.
Super exciting to try something you have started and show you our support, and let me say we sure were not the only once!
We went around 3pm to avoid the big lunch rush, it was busy even a few people standing in line outside the restaurant. No doubt 99% of guests were tourists there to support you.
Simple, fun and with western eyes inexpensive, we sure enjoyed it and will return next we are in Bangkok.
Only 2 things I would review if I was you
- staff need to be more friendly and smiling (pretty much the only none smiling service we had during 2 weeks in Thailand)
- language, I appreciate we are in Thailand, but as such a HUGE part of your clients are none Thai, at least a few of your team, should speak and understand basic level of English, avoiding some team
members clearly getting annoyed by guests, when not understanding questions or food orders.
the food was good but yeah your team needs to improve a lot!
Thailand is meant to be land of smiles, but that sure is NOT the case at your restaurant and that’s a shame.
As a western businessman I have no doubt, you will review the training of your team, would be a shame that bad service becomes a given.
Btw. You should consider a stay at SONEVA KIRI, a luxury breakfast buffet with an additional 14 page a la carte menu, just in case.
Tree pod dining (the only one in the world, private beach dinner or what’s called one of the best Thai restaurants in Thailand TUK’s KITCHEN, sitting in the mangrove and reached by boat.
Thanks again Mark, best wishes to you and your family

Sorry Mark but NZ doesn't have a distinctive cuisine, Mostly English if looking at our food heritage , There is certainly the indigenous food, Its not sophisticated, and certainly not available on the street, I'm in Auckland haven't come across a hangi in the last couple of years, dont oversell the place, your average Joy wont come to NZ and experience native food, maybe some kai moana. but you get that in most countries

Thanks Mark for putting this compilation together. I have seen some of these but missed many of them so I was so happy they are all wrapped up in one long video I watched this afternoon. I am not sure which place was my favorite but the Native Cuisine, as well as the Chinese, Filipino, Steak Pies and Lamb dishes all make me want to visit NZ very much.

Omg! I haven't seen fish like that in like 30 years! I haven't found anyone in Australia who makes soft crispy batter like that last time I had fish like that, was in Kawerau BOP. Far our Mark, you making me hungry look how clean that fish is, super clean flesh! No dark spots, that's some beautiful fish! Perfectly filleted. Tipene's takeaways! Got it bro!

Ok burger aficionados. When your burger is served in a paper bag. What is the first thing you do Pul it out far enough to get your first bite Our do you pull it all the way out, turn it 180 degrees, put it back in so you can start at the more juicy side

Eating seafood while immersing ourselves in the seascape, breathing the sea breeze and the sun and sand makes us feel like we are in a fairyland. While we're at it, I wish everyone a happy and energetic video.

throw away the hangi, and get a proper tour guide (an actual local) and it would of been a 10/10 series. Still a 9. 5 though mark, hope you enjoyed! (I don't like hangi, flavourless, bland and unenjoyable for me)

Wallaby tartare! Give me a flipping break. What a sad fail of a reach for relevance. Probably tastes nasty, too. The texture looked wretched. Sorry not sorry NO THANKS.

New Zealand being one of the last continents on the map, it's funny how we have a mixture of everything around the world. From the people to the food, mixed
