Tom from Chaseki Tea and Joel This video begins an ultimate Thai food tour of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Get ready for some incredibly delicious Northern Thai food Khao soi ( sometimes khao soy, or curry noodles, is one of the most popular Thai dishes in northern Thailand. It has a very unique history and though details are not completely known, most say that it originally was brought from Yunnan, China through Myanmar, adapting along the way, and finally reaching Chiang Mai, where its become of the iconic foods. In Thailand though, is where the dish accumulated coconut milk, which is found in most version now. What is khao soi? Khao soi ) typically includes yellow egg noodles of some form, which are combined with a meat - usually beef or chicken (and I typically order beef as much as I can) - topped in coconut milk curry sauce, and finally sprinkled with coconut cream, and finally topped with crispy fried noodles. Theres a massive debate over who serves the best khao soi in Chiang Mai, and I dont think it will ever be resolved because everyone has a different taste. But along with the help of my friend Tom (from Chaseki tea shop in Chiang Mai: and Joel, we set off to eat 5 bowls of khao soi in a row to share with you what we think is the best khao soi in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Here are the restaurants we ate at: 1. Khao Soi Islam ( - This is a longtime restaurant serving khao soi in what is known to be quite a traditional version. Khao Soi Khun Yai ( - Next we went to Khao Soi Khun Yai, what was many years ago one of my favorite bowls, but this time? Price - 40 THB (1. 22) per bowl 3. Khao Soi Loong Prakid Kad Gom ( - Many locals from Chiang Mai recommended I check out Khao Soi Loong Prakid Kad Gom (, and it was amazing. The size, and the taste were spectacular. Price - 40 THB (1. 22) per bowl 4. It is a food tour of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Mark might know anything about Thai cuisine. First, noodle. Marks at first were eating quietly, but I can not stand it and eat it with a lot of chili oil source. Next is rice, sprinkling the sauce of red pepper, the noodles after this and the following egg noodle. Where and where you eat any coconuts and onions are included. And a lot of pepper oil sauce is the same. If it gets so painful, I wonder which is delicious or not tasty. Well, even if you eat this much, you can maintain a smart body shape. I usually do not eat anything, is not it? I hear that hot things are quite high in calories, but in Thailand it may be good because this is hot. Thank you very much. Maika seemed fine and I was glad.

Great to here of a Khao Soi place I haven't tried and you voted best I'll try to make it to Khao Soi Mae Manee when my gal needs to go to the Gov. offices up there. We've gone to at least a dozen Khao Soi shops & restaurants It's hard to pick a favorite. I just go on Google maps and look for new ones. I'd recommend the one on the south east corner of the 3 Kings monument. Prapokkloa Soi 12 if only because they have deep fried mushroom Khao Soi Never seen it anywhere else, it's amazing

Joel is a always great addition to your amazing videos Mark, Just wanted to take this opportunity and say thank you for uploading your videos in 4K although I can imagine it takes much longer time to upload than a 1080p and seeing many Bloggers are opting out of 4K uploads because of it but they dont understand how much of a difference it makes. Wish you and family all the success in the new year and I cant wait for your 10M subs very soon

Thank you so much for this video, khan soi is my absolute favourite Thai dish. Yesterday I finally found Khao Sou Kun Yai after a couple of unsuccessful passes by two days prior. She definitely did not disappoint I'm planning to go back tomorrow with my bro and his family. The only down side is that I am only here for a week. This will be the standard to which all other Khao Soi will be compared in the future. Keep the videos coming

Why people are just noticing about comments bro. what's the big deal if people are trying to write their feelings. I think everyone should mind it's own business rather than acting as why Pakistan. see the vlog write the comment. or else stay quite. hahaha Mark Pakistan and it's people love you. that's why they all are missing you. well your all series are going well. I enjoy it

Thai food looks yummy, Mark But I miss the hustle bustle n people gathering around in Pakistan series. That was another level fun to have people around always interested in your business especially when it's about food. Always ready to offer a smile, always ready to show up in camera, always ready to offer help or a suggestion, always ready to eat more

small comments - i like seeing just you on the camera. not random other guys eating with you, i found the experience was more ruined from seeing them in the shot. if you were to have them - the green shirt made him stand out which i didnt like - either all black or you in the green. cause it took away from you visually

Actually khao soi you also get in neighbouring countries Myanmar and Laos. I haven't tried the khao soi in Myanmar, but the one in Laos is very nice and quite different. No coconut and curry in the Lao recipe. Visit Luang Prabang to eat good khao soi. I absolutely love both the Thai and the Lao version. :)

I am a pure vegetarian but still, I watch all your videos. Cause Mark, I like the way you talk and describe all the dishes, your love towards onions/shallots and mustard sauce and the way you enjoy each and every bite right from your heart. The positivity on your face makes one's day Keep grinding.
