Do you love Thai food? Get a copy of my Thai Food Guide by clicking here: Thailand has a countless amount of healthy and wonderfully tasty dishes, one of them being a famous Northern Thai jungle curry (Kaeng Pa. Nearly every flavor you could possibly dream of in a single bite is present within a spoonful of jungle curry. Originally a curry from Northern Thailand, kaneg pa is a medley of vegetables and herbs that can be grown and harvested from the forest. It was once normally cooked with wild boar, which was formerly common in the area, and while you can still order this version, other variations with chicken or pork are also widespread. To try something new, I decided to order this Thai jungle curry with frog - known as Kaeng Pa Kob. The soup curry included a vibrant mixture of bamboo shoots, eggplants, long beans, chillies, roots, herbs, basil, and not forgetting the meaty chunks of frog included in the soup. The great thing about Thai jungle curry is that it's very healthy and includes not coconut milk like many other Thai curries. The flavors will excited your mouth like crazy In order to get a taste of Thai jungle curry in Bangkok, there's no better place to go than a restaurant by the name of Ran Gaeng Pa Sriyan (. Located near the Sri Yang market in the Dusit district of Bangkok, Thailand, they serve some of the best jungle curry in the city. Everyday for both lunch and dinner, the restaurants attracts a crowd of local Thais all out to score some marvelous cuisine. Along with jungle curry, the menu also includes an extensive mix of other delicious Thai dishes, some of them northern Thai specialities. I ordered a plate of minced quail stir fried with chillies, garlic, and basil (Nok Sab Pad Kee Mao ) which was outstanding. Also, the stir fried bitter river snails with chillies and garlic (Hoy Comb Pad Cha ) was equally good. I have a raging addiction to eating and ordering stink beans, so there was no resisting a plate of stink beans stir fried with fermented shrimp paste known as Goong Pad Kapi Sataw. All dishes were unbelievably good and it was one of the most memorable feasts of the month. To finish of a super tasty meal, I ended with a soothing bowl of durian ice cream over a small bed of sticky rice. It was good, but not as good as the durian ice cream down the street - that's why I didn't show it in this video. So when you come to Bangkok and want to sample the best Thai jungle curry, this is by far the best one I've ever had. And by the way, you don't need to order it with frog if you don't want to, there are many other options you can choose from Ran Gaeng Pa Sriyan ( ) Address: 954/2 Thanon Nakhon Chai Si, Dusit, 10300, Thailand

I am 24 years of age. My background is Italian, but Australian born. Obviously I grew up surrounded and influenced by Italian cuisine. But over the last few years I have immersed myself in Thai culture, my ex is Thai. Now I love Thai food more than Italian. I love jungle curry (traditional) not local cuisine. I was ordering jcurry every week for months. you and I share the same passion my friend: )

Hey Michelle, thank you very much for watching my videos and glad to hear it's helpful. That's great that you'll be coming to Bangkok soon. If I'm in the area will try to do a Platinum video, but it's really pretty easy to get there and once inside there's lots and lots of stalls that you can roam. I think you'll be able to easily navigate the mall and find lots of good clothing

Hey Bobby, thanks for watching The quail was probably my favorite dish of the meal. If you go to my site migrationology (dot)com, and search for stink bean - I wrote an article explaining all about it. It's also called bitter bean, petai, or cluster bean, and though it's called stink bean too, it's really one of my favorite things to eat - crisp, fresh, and full of flavor

Thank you very much for watching, and I understand about Thai food being expensive in other parts of the world. It seems that around the world, outside of Thailand, they've marketed Thai food as pricey cuisine - more so than Chinese. Too bad, but that just means you'll have to come visit Thailand

Very nice one. Not a huge fan of frog unless it's spicy and I'm guessing that one has lovely spice. The Quail looked awesome. THe snails looked interesting but the shrimp looked great. Not sure about those beans. Are they like lima beans or fava beans? As always, thanks for the videos.

migrationology. Kaeng pa is my favorite curry of all. But I prefer to eat it with pork. Do you like the spicy, Pork bone soup. Tom saab? One place I will be looking out for in a few months is the, Padthai at Ghostgate in BKK. Not sure if its over rated or not.
