After an insane Mexican street food tacos tour of Tijuana, we continued south in Baja California to Popotla - a fishing village teeming with every fresh seafood you can imagine - including giant spider crabs, also known as Martian crabs. Before leaving Tijuana we had some amazing seafood breakfast, and continued to eat legendary carne asada, finishing off with an epic crab and seafood meal. Thanks to my friend Jeffrey Merrihue for organizing this trip. And to Scott Koenig: and Paco Perez: for arranging this tour. Thanks to Sebastian: for hooking us up in Popotla. Mariscos El Conchal - Tijuana, Mexico - But first, in the morning before leaving Tijuana, we thought it would be a great idea to get started eating some seafood to get warmed up. At Mariscos El Conchal, their crab tostadas are out of this world, and we had an amazing fresh seafood shellfish cocktail as well. Amazing place to eat when you re in Tijuana. Tacos El Yaqui - Perrones Tijuana - Then on the way to Popotla, further south in Baja California, we stopped at Tacos El Yaqui for legendary carne asada. Their huge tacos were amazing. Mariscos La Estrella - Popotla, Mexico - But the real highlight of the day was arriving to Popotla for the amazing seafood. The fishing village community is a full seafood market where you can get anything from the sea. But the big ticket is the spider martian crabs. At Mariscos La Estrella, she fried them up, simple and extremely delicious. When you go to Popotla, go say hi and have a meal at Mariscos La Estrella as she is rebuilding her restaurant!

Mark, thank you for being part of A Gringo in Mexico Urban taco tour in Northern Mexico. That seafood is sublime and glad you described their coctel, and other seafood dishes. All stands prepare it so well with fresh ingredients. This is a great place to come by with Scott introducing these great spots for excellent and great food, great and friendly people and you can feel the positive, happy vibes when visiting those places. These videos are so awesome, it is great to visit Mexico for fresh seafood, the people and embracing Mexican culture all together. We also like to thank Jeffrey Merrihue for added foodie facts and places to eat. Mmmmm. my tastebuds are salivating right now while watching this video.

Cant wait till the quarantine is over. So I can go eat some of that Tia Juana's bomb food. ITS A MECCA OF VARIETY OF FOOD NOW. Like a street buffet. BEST OF THING ITS SO CHEAP. You wont find fresh sea food like this in the states. SAD! If you do you are looking at 20+ a pound. Id rather save my dollars and take a drive. Ive spent 2hrs waiting for a table here at times for frozen seafood. id rather drive 2hrs and eat fresh seafood any day. Cant speak for most of yall that dont live close to TJ.

I ve been to Tijuana, Rosarito Beach and Popotla many times in my life and, yes, they have amazing seafood down there. Also, amazing crab and lobster for very little money. Love it!

2: 00 the amount of crab on a single. that should be a crime. I catch dungeness crab and cook dishes. next time I ll have to try loading that much crab on a taco. Nice video!
