Before beginning, I want to make it clear I paid for this tour and decided to go on it myself. It is not sponsored in anyway. However, after spending time with Osama and seeing the tours and great people that are involved with I would highly recommend it. I had really wanted to visit Bethlehem, and we decided to book a tour to also visit Hebron, another one of the most religiously significant cities in the West Bank, Palestine. So we drove through the checkpoint and I could hardly believe I was in Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. After meeting up with Osama, who is an absolutely awesome guy, we started walking off through the Old City of Bethlehem. First stop was a place to get a nice view overlooking the city. Absolutely stunning and to think of the immense and important history was mind blowing. Manakish or manaeesh is an Arabic baked flatbread, sometimes covered in zaatar before being baked. We stopped at an breadshop to have a piece before heading on to the church. Church of the Nativity NOTE: Thanks to baby Micah, we were allowed to enter a side entrance to the Grotto with no queue, which saved a lot of time, sometimes you have to wait for an hour to get entrance because its very small. Being a Christian, this was an experience that was almost surreal and extraordinarily special for me. I will cherish that entire moment in the Grotto, a place that marks the spot where Jesus was born and where he was laid in a manger. Walled off hotel - We then took a drive over to the Walled Off Hotel, a hotel that faces the separation wall. It was eye-opening to learn more about the situation. Palestinian food home cooked - Theres no better way to eat when you travel than to have home cooked food. And so through the arrangement of Visit Palestine, we were invited to a Palestinian family home to eat an Arabic food feast that included chicken stuffed with rice and meat all baked in oven safe bags (I think. The chicken and the spices were amazing, and additionally the side dishes, including the freshly roasted almonds were the best Ive ever had. Also, the hospitality and generosity of this family in Bethlehem truly made it memorable. It was an honor to enjoy Palestinian food in Bethlehem with a local family. Hebron Old City - We continued on to Hebron, a city about 30 minutes from Bethlehem. Again it was a fascinating and eye-opening ride. Hebron is a city known for its conflict. Ibrahimi Mosque (also known as Cave of the Patriarchs) - At the Ibrahimi mosque you can pay respect to the tombs of Abraham, Isaac, Sarah, and Leah. Again, its pretty surreal to visit, and it a truly special moment. Fresh juice - 5 ILS (1. 40) - We then walked around the streets of Old City Hebron, which to be honest is a little scary and unfortunately filled with tension. Even though its so beautiful and so ancient, its eerie. It was a fascinating experience to visit Palestine, eye-opening as well. But the combination of generous people I met, delicous Palestinian food at a family home, and seeing in person the place where Jesus was born and where Abrahams tomb sits, all added up to be one of the most special and emotional days Ive ever had in my life. Just as a note of reference: I paid 500 USD for the tour with but they provide transportation for me and my family from Tel Aviv, and it included everything private. I also needed a private tour to be able to make a video like this. Thank you to Osama for being so cool

Interesting. Many things look/sound good. Since you're vids are about Trying Foods Around the World we're Wondering Why No Focus on Making it Easy 4 Us to Try Them Too at home? U Could Put Lists below All of your vids. of All of the Dishes & their Condiments Names & Spelling & Pronunciation in English & translation abilities. OR put In the Vid. via Subtitles Or a Pop up in English & Provide Translation Capabilities for other languages? Or do more vids. 1 of the usual & one highlighting dishes names & condiments names with those in the vid telling us the name Clearly, spelling & allow them to tell us more about what's in it to help us to be able to make it too or order it in a restaurant, or tell us about websites where these dishes can be found with at least English subtitles. What I'm saying here is Important if Ur vids. Are Not Just about a Way to Travel around the world while People Watch U Eat, Why Not Make it an Opportunity For Us to Share Ur Experience at Home? Everyone Isn't into Reality Shows. Many watch to Learn Something Useful, as We and Others we Know. We always talk about the things we tell U here. Provide a Way to Learn from what you love to do, Please. Then Ur vids Truly Have & Offer to Ur Viewers the Ability to Try what U tried & Perhaps Tell U About it and Even Thank U. Allow us this way of sharing home between people of different culturesPerhaps you even have brought back recipies to share. I can't imagine you don't have any or at least Correct Names & Spelling & Pronunciations for All these Dishes & Condiments. We don't wish to take away from U but to add to it. Please Really share it with us. It Is Often frustrating to TRY & hear what different things you try are Called in your vids. to be able to look them up & try to find the correct spelling or close enoug to then find the dish on the web or ask for it at a restaurant. In each vid there's Always Something U try that is Clear to Understand, But Never All ad Clearly. If you did Focus More on Making Sure We Can Understand we Have a Chance to Try it Too & Share a bit of Another Culture. The more we can share Anything about Other Cultures the More we can Relate to Them. This is a Way. Note: When Ur Really excited you don't speak as usual, you says things very fast, harder to understand. Apologies but U also Try talking with a Full Mouth of Food, Most of the Time. That doesn't Make u Easy to Understand but I'm sorry to say Often makes it Difficult to watchwhen we see a huge mouthfull of food, because U take Huge Bites. No Disrespect or Offense to you, but Without the Offering us the Ability to Share the Food Tasting Experience, in fact. Then we're Just Wasting Time Watching a Guy Hamming It up While Talking with His Mouth Full as He Eats His Way Around the World. We Don't Think That's The Msg. U R Trying 2 Send. So Include Us by Providing us the Means To Share What U Say U Love. Don't Make it All of It So Much About U.

as i am from palestine, i would give message to Osama, next time when you take famous people to visit Hebron, as you didt know too much as i see, you should ask help from another one who knows better than you in that area, so keep this advise for next time, unfortunately and sadly he missed a-lot of things in Hebron specialty, ( kinafa, kidra, old city from deferent part. and so on

look at them they trying to be westerner and already forget their culture. these people has nothing to do with Palestine and its culture. look at then they are cooking food in a polythene bag which is highly not recommended. please mark go and meet some native Palestinians

Really great episode. I'm curious though about the chicken cooked in a plastic bag for so long. how does it not melt? Why would that be better than aluminum foil, for example? Apologies if these are dumb questions - just curious and thanks again for a beautiful video.

I know this is an old video. But cooking chicken/any meat in a cooking bag is done in kitchens across american everyday and turkey on thanksgiving day. That bag makes for moist fall off the bone meat. Ribs are also amazing in one of them bags. Thanks for sharing.

seriously this guy should chair all the peace talks between every damn warring country around the world and show leaders, the greatness of their people and their different cultures and how we can embrace each other and start loving, instead of fighting.

In this lunch time. I somehow felt that the host did not pay enough respect to your videoing. They didn't seem to be caring about you. Avoid such people. Video only those who feast you grand with whatever they could even if they are poor.
