Why putting a religious label such as Jewish Iraqi food? Have you ever heard of Christian French food? Or Muslim Palestinian food? If its Iraqi, its Iraqi, if its Polish, its Polish, if if its Spanish, its Spanish, if its Greek, its Greek. there is no such thing as Jewish this or that. lets face it, the Jews are multicultural and they come from different countries and cultures. If you eat Moroccan food prepared by a Moroccan Jew, its Moroccan food youre eating, not Jewish or Muslim food. May be you ought to read some of the works of the great Israeli historian, Shlomo Sand to understand the whole construction of Jewishness,

Mark thanks SO much I live in Israel and have been to Ramla, but it's always been for business so I would not have known Naji existed if it wasn't for you We are SO going to check it out - kubbeh is one of my favorite foods on the planet; particularly kubbeh maroq edom (the beet one) though that bamya khatan (small okra) looks incredible too A big thumbs up to the way you do ALL your episodes and really capture the heart of the people and cultures

This is eating Iraqi problem only, it is not eating authentic Iraqi and good, but this eating is modern, please try the Iraqi food in any Iraqi restaurant interested in the original recipe heritage without any additions

Most are Iraqi food which dont have anything to do with jewish and some Egyption and som turkish and Palestinian food like hummus and Musabah. Why force the Jweish in between? They are iraqi muslim jewish and christian

The Iraqi Ashkenazi cuisine I notice has lots of tomato based spiced sauces. Very nice foods that go well with bread and rice. I will try some of their recipes soon. Enjoy foods my friends

Damn, those stews with the rice remind me of the Latin comfort foods I grew up with. Hope to one day try them as I travel for food as well Lol I need one of those shirts.
