Ginger duck hot pot can only be found in Taiwan. It is a very local Taiwanese dish, especially during wintertime. Normally these restaurants do not run the business in the summer.
It is very delicious, completely different from any other type of hot pot. Cook it with vegetables, duck heart, pork blood cake, meat balls, and many kinds of hot pot ingredients. And vermicelli is also a thing of must-eat.
Strongly suggest foreigners try it when there is a chance to visit Taiwan. One of my favorites!

I see the Michelin logo on the window where the chicken soup is. Does this mean the restaurant has the Michelin 3 Star? If so then that restaurant is banging. I would love to go there and taste that soup. Everything looks delicious from the chicken soup to the hot buns to the duck hot pot. Thanks so much. Now I'm starving!

This is definitely one of those I'm very jealous of Marc episodes, because it's clear how amazing that food is Once again, it's important to just appreciate that he shares it all with us! I gotta go and eat this for real though, someday.

The Ji Yuan restaurant really is the restaurant I bring my foreign friends to. The soup, I don t call it soup anymore it s more like essence. The rich collagen makes your upper and lower lips stick together, normal chicken soup can never.

I loved the shot of Marc being enveloped in dumpling steam. looking like some kind of culinary God shrouded in a beautiful mist! This episode is full of wonderful sensations, and that's not even counting what the food must taste like!

Can you imagine Micah grown up? How is his poor wife going to impress him with her cooking? Hopefully, he will be like mom and dad and just love all forms of food. I know he is the most traveled child I have seen to date. lol

Between 1: 35 when Mark mentions there must be at least 50 pots going, and 2: 03 when he mentions that there are 38 to 40 pots, Mark had consumed over 10 pots of chicken soup! And he's still so slim!

So incredible. I would trust Taiwanese chefs to produce some of the world's best duck and duck soup, and this video only cements that notion. How tasty can you get? This has to be the peak!

Love this episode! This was common when I was in TW and completely destroys the common Western Mentality that Chinese/Taiwanese food is low end, low price, low quality. It is NOT!

Ginger duck hot pot is a traditional Taiwanese food, it s good for health to eat in winter, and the boss usually rest from May to August. Mark is really good at exploring food.

I'm having an amaaaazing day! I haven't been in Taiwan since 1996. I'm sure it has changed a lot but I hate planes, hotels, travel arranging, packing, unpacking, etc

The unique taste of broth is the best part of ginger duck hot pot. If you like to eat meat, roasted duck is a better choice than hot pot.
