I guess we're just too puerile/ puritanical in America. If there were dicks all over the place in restaurants in America it would freak people out. Everywhere you go in Thailand there's some sort of dick. There's dicks in Buddhist temples and there's dicks all over restaurants but no one cares and moms don't cover their children's eyes.

Love the Izakaya owners honesty and thoughtfulness to ask them to mention that this is a high end place and not to be mistaken for being a typical Izakaya in Japan.
