Chefs just won't let food shine in it's natural form. Even Anthony Bourdain talked about how some of them just torture food into being something it's not. Why not let the turnip be a turnip? Let it taste like a turnip? Let the bitter, sweet, juicy, bite of the turnip be featured for what it is? I get that some vegetarians or some vegans have to disguise their food into a meat substitute. They talk about being purist but maybe they should just eat the meat if they want it so badly. Meat has some great things going for it. PS Grilled, smoked watermelon frankly, is shit.

I wouldn't mind trying this, I have no intention of ever going vegan, but I love radish and this wouldn't be impossible to make. Having this on a Charcuterie board with meat and cheese as a way to add a bit of diversity.
